Hey Cookie, hope you have a fab day today. couldn't really post, real busy at work, phone at work crapped out and had to call phone company, plus type reports, and put out other fires as well. I am whooped.

Hope everyone is staying cool. Today we are under heat warnings 100 degrees + high humidity = 110 heat index. Thursday they are expecting to be the worse day of the week. I worry about the donks but they pretty well stay in the woods. I keep carrots and apples in the fridge so they have cold treats but nothing much else I can do for them.

You are such a good donkey mom. I hope you stay cool. This is crazy weather 4 Donks.

pretty warm in Illinois too...first year that it would be worthwhile to have a swimming pool in Illinois...we don't usually have such warm summers...

CC says it has been hot, just wait until he comes to Texas in 112 degree heat. He will melt.

A pool sounds good right now, hope you stay cool!!

It sure is Muffy    We are hotter than Phoenix Arizona. 

I think we are hotter than Hades right now Greeneyes.  It is ridiculously hot, now they are saying turn your air up or we could have blackouts.

downloaded Jaycee Dugard's book on my kindle...next read for me...girlfriend read it and said that it is excellent...

Hi Brandi!!! I don't know where that monkey video thinky you posted came from, but the man at the beginning before monkey turns its head reminds me of Gerardo Bloise the CSI guy in court.

downloaded Jaycee Dugard's book on my kindle...next read for me...girlfriend read it and said that it is excellent...

Haven't heard of The Help, but I do love to read. I would like to read Jaycee's book. I think though it may break my heart.

Sounds good, I will tell my mom about it and let her buy the book then I will read it. My mom has a reading group that always read good books.

I love the shower cap Brandi!!! You did such a great job. Not changing it until summer is over. (wishing it was over very soon, 112 degrees isn't fun trying to walk him.)

My brain is fried, it is so hot outside. I would give anything for snow and sleet. At least Josef doesn't want to walk in it like he does the heat. I am sick of having to drag his butt up the stairs. He wants to roam but I don't need him to get heat stroke.

I blame all his problems on KC, she probably has the mange as well.

CONE OF SHAME has been taken off today!!! Two more treatments in the stinky water though. He had the stitches removed and the vet says the paws are completely healed, but he still wants to make sure the mange is all gone. 

  Thank you for all your prayers, means so much to me. Now to get the butt tumor removed with no troubles and hopefully my worries are over for now.

Hi all

Has anyone heard from Nana...miss her and hope everything is OK

The weather here is hot and humid. No one wants to go outside and they are telling people to stay in and keep your pets safe. No problem there because the dogs don't want to leave the A/C.
Being old and sometimes forgetting things  On the first of every month the dogs get their heartworm and topical flea and tick treatments and I change the filters in the the 3 returns. So am set for another month.
Beela is still gradually improving and gets around just fine. She will always have an odd gait but it just adds to her personality.
Still keeping fingers crossed for Josef.

I am over the extream heat! Had a garage sale over the weekend and was sweating sitting in the chair - that is WAY too hot. Even the pool is warm - up to 90 degrees in the water - almost too hot. Thank God for air conditioning! Have a great day.

Yea and my daffy hubs thinks we should keep the solar cover on anyway because it is neat to see how warm it can get - me, I let the baby play with the hose in the pool!

  A solar cover to see how warm it can get?? Might as well just go fill the bathtub up with hot water. 

I agree with you but living in Michigan we need a solar cover. Normally we get to the mid 80s water temp but I am not a fan of much higher. But hubs is sure he knows more than I do!
