JSM - How was Josef's day?  Is he home with you or in the hospital/kennel?

Hey Caddy, he is home, still having problems. Saw the vet today and he said it is to be expected. He said he is positive the incontinence will not last, just takes time. Also have changed his food so hopefully that will help as well. Thank you so much for asking. 

he will be getting stronger every day! keep your chin up..he will be fine a week from now..xxxx if not sooner!

  Thanks Cookie, trying to keep my chin up. He got more pain meds and seems to not be grrrrring as much. We will see what tomorrow brings

I say get your own cake and celebrate that you did not have to buy a gift!   Aren't you guys Catholic? JP does not make it a marriage in the Church from my recall. Bummer for him!

JSM...I would find out what happened before you get too upset..maybe your brother and his gf just wanted to have a private ceremony with just your mom there? dunno...I really doubt that you would be the only not invited..odd that nothing was mentioned though on Sunday...when would they have gotten married? today is only Tuesday??? spur of the moment? will mom tell you about it?

reread your post..was mom even there? or did brother send the photo to mom?
I guess the bottom line is if they did want to get married with no one there, it is their choice of how they wanted their wedding...when hubs and I got married, we didn't tell anyone until it was over cause we didn't want any fuss about anything..we eloped..know what I mean? we didn't want presents, dinner, nothing...maybe brother was feeling the same? dunno...

Yes, my mom was there as was my step dad. They were the only ones, my mom said they were just going to go to the JP and not tell anyone and my mom said she was going to be there when her only son got married. My mom called me and I told her I was hurt, my stepdad (the Dr Phil of the family), told me don't be hurt, they wanted it private and respect their wishes. Which is what I am going to do. I did ask my mom if there was cake. If there had been cake I would have been pizzed.    

Well, chit, while you are out getting yourself a present, get you a cake too?  Just sayin...

RANT ON I just got an email with a picture of my brother and his girlfriend from my mom that said "it is done" with Mr and Mrs *************. It was a picture of my brother and his gf in front of their fireplace with a man. I replied WTF???? Haven't gotten an answer back, but I am really hurt if they got married (he is my baby brother) and no one but my mom was invited. Or if I was the only one NOT invited. I was just with them both on Sunday. My heart is hurting over Josef and now this.

Should I be mad. They are both very private people, but I would've liked to have seen my brother get married if that is what happened. Sorry for the rant, I am having a nervous breakdown right now over Josef and now this.

I am going to punch someone now         

JSM -  I am so sorry that you got excluded. I never understand excluding family from important events. Perhaps they eloped? Either way, if they did not call you and give you the good news themselves it is pretty selfish.

TBM, I am over it now, was really hurt last night. I thought it was selfish, but oh well what can I do about.

Hey TBM, I am the only Catholic besides my Dad and step mom. Long story on why I was the only Catholic in the family. Anyways, I am okay now that I talked to my mom. Just kinda blew me away and was pizzed last night.

Hey Caddy, thanks for asking I was just about to post.

He is I don't know doing better or worse. We changed his diet and he hasn't had diarrhea as much. He acted weird when I picked him up so when we got home he was really acting weird (not barking, just standing in the grass with a glazed over look in his eyes), so I through him back in the car rushed back to the vet. Soon as we pulled into the parking lot he started barking all crazy like he does in the morning. I went in and talked to the tech because I wasn't sure what meds to give him and told her how he was acting. She said it was time for his pain meds and he is probably just in pain. So came back home, tried to make him take it with cheese and turkey, wouldn't touch it. Shoved them down his throat. Just found out that he ate a WHOLE can of food this morning so that is why he is not hungry. I should have gotten him a can tonight so I can give him his antibiotics. I am thinking the pain meds may be what is causing him to just sleep. He wasn't that way until yesterday when I got the new prescription.

How you doing, sorry for ranting about Josef. You still going on your trip?

You are not ranting...we all wanted to know how he is doing.  Sounds like he is just enjoying his meds?

I think we are still going - change that, he is going just trying to figure out if I am and where he is going to stay part of the time.  He has lodging for the whole time except for a week and still trying to figure that out.  Dang, so now the Cword is not in Rancho Whatever?  Was looking forward to stalking, hah hah - just kidding.  Now I find out that mansion with the two suspicious deaths, the girlfriend and the son is in San Diego?  wish I was a super sleuth!!

He just puked his guts up when we walked out the door. Please pray for me and Josef monkeys. I really appreciate it. On hold with the vet right now.

I have one dog that I don't even bother trying to hide the pill. I crush it mix it in water draw into a syringe hold his mouth closed insert the syringe in the side of his mouth and squirt......gone....done....over

probably a lot of what is going on with Jo is side effects from the meds that he is on, change of diet...lots of things combined..he is probably just fine..he has been through surgery and you have to account for that..he will perk up after a few days..try not to worry so much...he may be able to sense your worry ....

Poor Josef and JSM.  The antibiotics and pain meds can make you nauseous.   Time will take care of this my friend.  Prayers coming.

Glad you are still going, too bad you can't stalk C word if she isn't there anymore. 

I agree about that guy who's boy drowned and then girlfriend suicide/murder. Strange her hands were bound, how the heck to you hang yourself with your hands tied????

  I have tried that too 4 Donks, when he got kennel cough. Had to go on the balcony and squirt Robutussin in his mouth. Very nasty red stains on the balcony

Thank you 4 Donks, especially for the prayers. We didn't sleep on the floor last night, maybe if I had my back wouldn't hurt so bad this morning.

  I think you are right Cookie, the vet tech even said he is stressed and in pain. Got up at 5 to give him his pain meds. I try not to worry, but it is doing my head and back in. He was feisty this morning barking at birds so hopefully he will be better today.
