CC,
This is NONE of my business, so feel free to ignore me.............
Have you checked into how moving to TX will impact your IL Unemployment Benefits?
or can you keep an IL mailing addy?
A good friend of mine got into a soup w/ a similar situation.
Best,
Tol

Tol,

I wondered the same.

I am SO glad to see you.

Morning monkeys, hope everyone is doing well. Waiting for the pharmacy to open to get my meds for my stupid shoulder. I shouldn't have gone to the doctor, he hurt me, poking and prodding and giving injection. The one good thing about it he is such a sweetheart, I even lie to him when he is hurting me.

Hope you feel better.

NO lying to the doctor.  How is he supposed to help you?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes -- I love each and every birthday and look at them as wonderful gifts.

going to Connie's tonight to celebrate.  I'm cooking crabcakes, she is making her awesome mac and cheese (7) and we will have a glass of wine (or two).  Yesterday was wonderful, I just like to drag it out as long as possible..

Ha ha - just now read back where Cookie also recommended the Two Men and A Truck!  I saw a billboard for them on my cross country trip a couple of days ago.  Not sure what state we were in but it caught my eye because of the fact I had used them a couple of times.

Speaking of my cross country trip - we drove for 30 hours in two days and made it to San Diego, getting in last night.  I packed the car with lots of good food so we only stopped for gas and one night's lodging in some God forsaken crossroads in Texas.

One thing I did observe, along the way, was a huge billboard on I20 in Colorado City, TX of Hailey Dunn.  It was very imposing (in a good way) and hard not to miss.  Made me so sad.  I was not familiar with the lay of the land out there...but with all the oil fields, barren land and desolation, I am sure that she could be somewhere no one would ever stumble on her.

I saw parts of the US, that were out of the Twilight Zone.  Gasoline stations that were stuck in time - it was kinda like going to Disneyworld at some stops - I wanted to take some pics but was scared to.  Thought the people might a been in the witness protection program - ha ha.  It was very enlightening...I mean no disrespect, but in the SE and the NE, the interstates are populated.  Not so in the SW.  We learned to get anxious about finding the next gas stop - even on I20.

We are resting today and will explore the area later...

Oh dear that is a long drive Caddy, glad y'all got there safe.  I wish I knew where you stayed in Texas. Driving on 20 is a beating, nothing but dirt and you are right, hard to find a gas station out west. It is like the Twilight Zone. Get some rest and let us know how the exploring goes.

I don't know I will try to google them and see.  I think we stayed west of Odessa, maybe in Monahans (sp).  Our AC was acting up and it was only 117 degrees.  We didn't try to stop to get it checked, but if we had a needed a truck tire - there were plenty a places to get one a those!!

JSM - go to their website - they do go out of Chicago and I am sure they will go wherever you wish.  There is a link for a quick quote also.

We just moved across town, and they moved all the furniture, as we moved the "delicate" stuff ourselves.  The only damage I had was a few nicks in my dining room furniture.  They messed up two small places on the front of the china buffet.  I pointed it out and within a week they called a furniture repair specialist and it was fixed - and you can not tell where it was scratched at all.  In fact, I can't find the spot now.

Anyway, just have had good luck with them twice.   Worth a quote?
