Just got back and dressed the dogs in their thunder vests for this afternoon's storms. We have had a lot of rain so no more burn bans..this is a good thing because I fear a neighbour will burn against the law and catch the woods on fire.

This AM went over to sisters' place and set up their wifi hot spot for them. I ordered it and am paying for the 2 year contract to give them a break from dial up. They are happy..happy as am I. This also takes care of b'day presents this year.

My sweet brother who wouldn't harm a fly has had a stroke 10 days ago.  He's had so many health issues in the past five years.  Yesterday he was transported from local community hospital to a larger hospital some distance away to begin rehab.  It was on his left side.  My SIL said they will not know the full impact of the stroke for three weeks.  Thankfully he can talk, and walk with a cane.  No use of left arm. 
They live 3 1/2 hour drive away.  My hope is that he will be able to get his driver's license back. 
You know what they say, a man without a car and all that.  SIL doesn't drive.
My son, who arrived for a visit two weeks ago, keeps telling me 'mom, you have your hopes up and I don't want you to be let down, but Uncle G. will probably never drive again'.

One never knows what each day will bring.  Carpe diem. 

Can I am so sorry not posting, been way behind because of Caylee. My prayers go out to you and your brother. Praying that Uncle G will drive again. Thank goodness he can talk and walk with a cane, that is a good sign.

Please know I saw this post and prayed for Uncle G and your family, just haven't posted yet.

I have wonderful news of my bro.  He was transported to rehab on Monday and they sent him home yesterday.   Initially my SIL said he'd be there for eight weeks.  I spoke with him yesterday and he is so optimistic.   Said he hopes to have his driver's license back in six weeks.

So much for my son telling me he doubted Uncle G would ever drive again! 

  That is great news Can!!! So glad Uncle G is doing much better and will get his license back. I willl continue to keep him in my prayers.

Monkeys, please pray for my coworker's nephew. He was on an oil well at work this morning and the pipe that goes in the ground popped out and almost amputated his leg. He splinted it with two boards and put a tournequent on it and when EMS got there they were amazed he did that himself because if not he would have bled to death. He is out of surgery, but is in a lot of pain. He has come through such hard times of getting his life back together, his kids back and now this. Any prayers would be great. 

How horrible.  Please keep us posted on his progress.  Amazing how something kicked in, allowing him to take the action that saved his life!

  Thanks for the prayers Can. He is a recovering addict and is worried about going home with pain meds. They are keeping him until Sunday. We showed two doctors at work the x-ray and they were amazed he was coherent enough to splint his leg and said he really needs to be careful because just looking at the x-ray he still has a chance to lose his leg due to infection.

I don't now what my computer is doing but it's being a pain. Had to reboot and when I did it logged me out of every thing and I had to use my passwords for everything. It wont let me download any thing into my mail. On any of me email accounts. It must of done an up date that messed with my settings some how.  I got my anti virus program fixed but can't figure out how to fix my email attachments.

Prayers for Shannon Stone, his son Cooper, their family and Josh Hamilton. My heart breaks for Cooper losing his dad that was trying to get a baseball for his him. My heart truly breaks for Josh because of his history of drugs and being suicidal. I pray he can get through this. God bless the Texas Rangers for taking this family and starting a fund for the family.

Although I bush hog the main pastures..I mow about 5 acres and am now doing it twice a week. It's growing like a jungle with all the rain.

Method in my madness...I hate shopping for presents for my sisters. At our ages not much we need so it's a pain.

It's a diesel Kuboto zero turn with a 6 ft cut. Mows forward at 15mph and 10 mph in reverse.

Monday I'll be visiting my state rep and calling my state senator about Caylee's Law. For the 1st time in 139 years the republicans control both house and governor's office by running on law and order and family issues. Odd that the proposed law is by a democratic rep. They had better co-sign the proposed law and get one going in the senate. Can you think of anything else I can do.
