OMG - I just got up to a facebook message that my step grandson is in the hospital again!  That is the fourth time in 6 months that one of the two younger have been in the hospital - not to mention the broken leg that the one had and the dog bite the other had that did not need admission. WTH - step daughter has a long history with CPS - why are they not doing something????  I am sure one of the kids will have to be dead before CPS protects them.    

I am so sorry.  Prayers headed their way.

Now JSM's car won't start

Please pray it is just the battery and not the starter. I swear I am going to jump out the 7th floor window today. 

 

Please, even if it is the starter, keep away from the windows.  You are much to precious to us.

Don't be wishing for the car to go on fire.  You carry precious cargo, both you and Josef, besides, someone may get hurt.  Please get some rest.  Come visit us for a while, CC too!

 

  Oh Bearly you are so sweet. I am afraid of heights so I would never really jump out the window and would really be upset if my car caught on fire. Thank you for saying I carry precious cargo. That really made my day

It was the battery, not the starter so I am very blessed that it cost less than 100 dollars and my friend came all the way from Alvarado to  jumper cable it, take it to the auto parts store, I met her bought the battery and she had it put in in 5 minutes. She drove it back to my apartment and wouldn't even take gas money.

I told her this morning I would put the key under the mat, she asked if I was comfortable with that, I said yes, no one can drive it. I did get a scare when she asked if I had an extra key to the car. I asked why, she said the car was locked. She didn't realize I meant door mat not FLOOR mat   

You are a very lucky woman!

Wow JSM that was quite a drive up from Alvarado, think GE and I are closer but to get over there would have to use 114 & 121 from here......Yikes never mind would have taken hours....Its the thought that counts , I guess!!!!

Hi Monkeys, hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.

Mine started off sleeping through the alarm, getting to the rink late. Oh well, power class was cancelled. Phone rings, don't recognize the number. The man on the other end asks if I am ignoring him I said no, he then said well I thought you would have called me yesterday about Josef. It was his vet, he sounds so different on the phone. He said the foot biopsy came back negative of cancer  negative of a fungul infection  so it is back to being the demodex. He said we are going to treat it with Mitiban (girl at Petloddge already doing it behind their back).

I told him what the other vet said about the tumor being non cancerous, he said he would speak with her, but he really thinks it needs to come off if not now within a few weeks because he doesn't want it to grow.

I get the estimate for that and an endoscopy      I didn't talk with him just got the estimate. Luckily he came in as I was waiting on Josef and I asked him if the endoscopy was truly necessary since he has gained at least 5 pounds since the belly troubles started almost a year ago. He said he really thinks it is IBS and if it was lymphoma he would already be dead.

I also mentioned what I found on the internet about Cushing's and the tumor. He said that is quite the possibilty with the feet not healing and if true what I read that may be the problem.

So I think I am going to have the tumor removed and a Cushing's test done. It may not be for a few more weeks that I can have the surgery done since they want the money up front so please if you can pray that I am doing the right thing by not doing the endoscopy.

4 Donks if you read this please tell me your thoughts if this could be Cushing's since you have great knowledge of it.

JSM       1st of all  on the news from your vet.

I'm only familiar with equine Cushings but it can be treated and they can have a great quality of life.Diet is very important as is keeping the weight within normal range( Lumps has lost almost 300 lbs since we started) His hoof care is done more frequently because he is more prone to laminitis (foundering) Abscess  and thrush. He doesn't shed his winter coat and has to be clipped (afraid he'll get rainrot) but all said and done he is one frisky and feisty donk and worth the extra care. The vet is pleased and thinks with the regimen he is on he is in better condition than some "healthy" animals he sees.

JSM....sounds like Jo will be ok with a bit of medical care...good news..what exactly is the medicine for his feet?  Is it prescribed?

We were at Wisconsin Dells..the kids and grand kids camped at jellystone park.  Hubs and I stayed at Ho Chunk...did some gambling..I lost,hubs won ...so we stopped at an outlet mall and a Coach purse that I have wanted for awhile was on sale so he bought it for me with his winnings!  Love that guy...
Kids are still camping but we came home today...had a blast at the camping are..watermark and lots for the kids to do...very fun place if anyone gets up to Wisconsin...

If I can figure out how to record from my TV card in my PC  to my hard drive and then pull the shows I can tape EastEnders for you and email it if you want.  Just need to figure out how to do it.  I get BBC and BBC Canada so get all the UK shows.
