It hit 110.7 degrees here today, looks like no relief in sight! 

Dr. Pepper says they are rising prices.....what next!

Do we save our pension checks on the first of the month & not pay bills in case our fruity govt. holds up our SS?

Think I'll stop watching the News or they'll come up with some new incurable disease that only Dr. Pepper drinking folk whos outside temp goes over 110 & paid all their bills on time come down with.......................OOps too late weather dude just said all of North Texas could be looking at temps well over 110 by next week!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how hot it is right now, but gotta take Josef on his last walk. I know last year I whined about winter, but now I want SNOW!!!!!!!!! SLEET!!!!!!!!!!!! Anything but this heat. I can't very well walk around nekkid taking him outside, but at least in the winter I can put on snow pants, a coat and those doo dads on my feet to keep from slipping on the ice.

If it makes CC feel any better, my medical insurance is $826 per month, just for me.  My cobra (when I had it) was a little cheaper but not much.  My medical insurance actually went down from $914 last year 

I'd kill for a government (city or otherwise) job but they are hard to get around here.  It's who you know not what you know.  Not to mention I'm older than dirt and nobody wants to hire an old dusty broad

It's been so hot and humid that I finally let the donks out of their pasture and into the woods. It's at least 10-15 degrees cooler in there. Now I spend all my time hiking through the woods checking on them. Last year I lost Hobbs in the woods and when I finally found him he was all tangled up in muscadine vines and couldn't get out. He's like a loose cannon with no sense.

And the good news is that it will go up because of the penalty we have to pay with Obama care because it is considered to be "gold" insurance that we and our employees are eligible for. And we have a $1500 per hospitalization deductible!

insurance coverage is a problem cost wise! thank God hubs is still working..we pay a small premium through his work..we feel very fortunate to have it..I can't see how people can afford the premiums that I hear about! it is terrible!

Holy Crap it is HOT!!! Don't know what the temp is right now, just walked Josef and my shirt is stuck to me. He is eating ice right now.

Vet was in surgery, but gave my list of concerns to the PetLodge manager, she read them and told me she doesn't think Josef is ill (she has been right so far). I told her I really don't think he needs the endoscopy because if he did have some kind of weird cancer he wouldn't be with me this long and wouldn't be as active as he is. So I am getting the estimates, what the vet thinks needs to be done now and we will go from there. Had a big long pity party yesterday and last night and have decided to leave it to God and he will give me the answers. Butt tumor is coming off no matter what and the Cushing test, but the other stuff is possibly not necessary.

They will start the Mitiban on his feet tomorrow hopefully and that will get rid of the sores. He gets his stiches out next week.

Okay, that is the Josef update.
