At least one U.S. military serviceman has been arrested after raising concerns over another possible attack on Fort Hood, Fox News has learned exclusively.

According to an Army source, one AWOL soldier is in the custody of the Killeen Police Department near Fort Hood. He was not captured on base. According to another source, two other U.S. soldiers were also arrested earlier today after authorities recovered weapons and explosives.

If it makes CC feel any better, my medical insurance is $826 per month, just for me.  My cobra (when I had it) was a little cheaper but not much.  My medical insurance actually went down from $914 last year

I'd kill for a government (city or otherwise) job but they are hard to get around here.  It's who you know not what you know.  Not to mention I'm older than dirt and nobody wants to hire an old dusty broad

We are self employed and pay over $1500 per month for ours . . . . And the good news is that it will go up because of the penalty we have to pay with Obama care because it is considered to be "gold" insurance that we and our employees are eligible for. And we have a $1500 per hospitalization deductible!

$1500 per hospital deduction is low IMO

Wow - until this year we had a $500 and were good with that. I guess it seems high when a good portion of our employees have zero deductible with medicaid and do not pay a dime in premiums.

Well my hospital deductable is 1500 (and has been since GWB was in office) and my premiums are $826 per month but I'm paying for a PPO. My premium of $826 is for me alone not me and my husband or family.  If I wanted to join Kaiser and get a different primary care doctor I could do it much cheaper using Kaiser. I have friends that actually RAVE about our local Kaiser hospital and it's doctors.  So your employees income is so low they also qualify for Medicaid in your state and use it as a secondary or primary along with your group "gold" plan?

Most of our employees refuse to work full time - and most work for minimum wage. They never want to work full time because they would lose their food stamps and cash benefits. Add to that the fact that most of them have multiple children by multiple men that do not pay child support, they all get medicaid. Even though we only charge them 40 ever two weeks to get insurance, they see no reason to do so when they get it "free" from the government. So only us, and a few of the employees actually invest in real insurance. Sad I know, but true. Remember too, that "gold" means that the plan pays 80% of your claim. And remember that most of the big chain restaurants have exemptions. Being a small restaurant that is not a chain, we pay the penalty.

You are not a dusty old broad Klaas. I think up in Chicago it is who you know, not what you know as well. Wow $826 a month, I thank my lucky stars that my employer pays my insurance. Amazing that your insurance went down, our premiums at work keep rising every year.

When I worked at the hospital my premiums were a lot less of course.  But even there my premiums went up each year until I left at the beginning of 2005.  So to me yearly increases are normal and the premium going down was a nice surprise.

Ours went up 25% and the estimate is another 40% this year.

CC I know it is hard to be without current employment..hard on the pocketbook, body and soul.  I am glad to see you were out playing golf.  That is very good for you right now.  When you play golf you are getting fresh air and sunshine, walking, and keeping your mind occupied with the game.  All of those are important to helping you keep your perspective during rough times.
Getting out and walking is super for both the mind and body..so golf is good for you right now..ya hear.

Maybe a quick trip to Texas will help renew your spirits..and give you a new look see about moving down there with your lovely wife..troubles are always best when shared...thinking of you and JSM and everything you have to look forward to as a couple.

I tried 'eggies' last night to boil eggs...you break the eggs into the eggies which are egg shaped and boil them in water like normal...no egg shells to peel off the eggs! worked really well...have not tasted them yet..making egg salad later today...
I hate trying to peel hard boiled eggs so this is a great invention..

they are shown on tv...also in the Harriet Carter catalogs..they are sold in stores in the "as seen on tv" section too...maybe Walgreens?
I got mine at a kitchen store in Wisconsin Dells area last weekend...
the girl at the store told me that they can't keep them in stock! matter of fact while I was checking out with the last 2 packages in that store, customers were coming up to the desk asking if they had them lol...
