I'm just curious... When did Kiomaries's story to the Enquirer come out? Was it before or after Caylee's remains were found?

Hi TampaMom.  Welcome to the cage!!

The January, 2009 article appeared in the National Enquired over a month following the discovery of Caylee's remains.

In August, 2008 ... Kiomarie Cruz said nothing about a "pet cemetary" when discussing the discovery area in an interview with law enforcement.

I have really become addicted to the cage!!!
Thanks for your response. I was just wondering why, if the police had any of this info prior to the finding of the remains, they would not have had her as a witness. This answers my question. Thank you!

Janet

HEART STICKER CONVINCES CHILDHOOD PAL THAT MOM KILLED CAYLEE
Published on: January 27, 2009

Casey Anthony’s closest childhood friend Kiomarie Torres Cruz says she was stunned when she learned that tiny Caylee had been buried with a heart-shaped sticker.

“I immediately realized it meant that Casey had buried Caylee,” Kiomarie told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview. “My blood ran cold.”

Casey’s burial was stunningly similar to those of pets she buried in the same spot when she was a child, said Kiomarie.

Kiomarie says she, Casey and their friend Jessica held a funeral for Jessica’s hamster, Sage, when the girls were 13.

“I never wanted to believe Casey could have killed Caylee, but it’s just too much coincidence. The place, the hearts, the bags, the blanket – it all adds up,” says Kiomarie.

“Now I’m convinced that she murdered Caylee and buried her in the same place, in exactly the same way, that we buried our pets.”

According to the above posted poll, I'm thinking 5-8 days because they are going to suggest they are having issues with their witnesses, since the trial is ahead of schedule.  I believe they going to drag things out.

LOL! I haven't been able to vote because I can't decide. Baez is an idiot...he takes forever, objects to his own questions...doesn't know legal procedure etc etc so..it could take many days or if the State or HHJP rides his sorry azz about mistakes and winning objections, it might shut his circus down quick. Guess I'll consult the magic 8 ball like he apparently does!

I've been having the same trouble making up my mind too.  What about sidebars, recesses, trying to find papers, drawing on big tablets with markers and all of that good stuff?  I started trying to factor some of that stuff in and just got lost.  It could go on and on and on...  But then what if the Defense just doesn't have much?  Even with Bozo dragging it out?  I just don't know.

I voted 8 to 10 for just that reason..the defense sure doesn't have much..but they know how to draw things out, run an idea around in circles, finally attach it to a flag pole, run it up the pole and salute it..with that in mind I am thinking 8 more  full days, Saturdays only being half a day..by the time they get started , have sidebars and breaks it's time to go home.

Carpe...since this is the monkey jury, I wanna change mine to Guilty...her sentance should be chloroform her a bit....tape her face up real nice and tight with some heavy duty duck tape....stick a smiley face sticker on her mouth....double bag the bitch and let someone drive around with her in their trunk til they can't stand it anymore, then throw her in the swamp and let her rot....sounds good to me...

I hear ya!

I agree with this as her punishment, good enough for an innocent baby why not a trashy ho bag (but since she said she had a penis in her mouth, shove a vibrator in and then tape it shut with a few layers of tape in her hair)......jus saying

Okay now I have written CNN, Jane Velez Mitchell, Tru TV and told them I'm tired of their biased opinions and that they need to disclose that LKB is STILL a consultant on the defense team of KC.   I want to hear the news but dang I don't want to hear her spew her crap.

LKB said that the defense probably didn't have all the phone records and just got them.  BS!

Thanks for your response. I was just wondering why, if the police had any of this info prior to the finding of the remains, they would not have had her as a witness. This answers my question. Thank you!

I sense an attempted ambush coming
Bumping my own post... I also noticed Bobo and Mason seemed unusually chipper.. They are so transparent... Vasco Degama.. yup.. Let's see how THAT goes..

So let me get this straight, Bozo and Mumbles have had 3 freaking yrs to work on the defense, and they just NOT bring this in....IIRC didn't Judge Perry warn against trial by ambush? Also, I sure as hell hope this man has some morals-there are those among us (Casey, Bozo et al) that are not above lying for $$$ ...otherwise Baden, LKB, Lee, Spitz and the nut from San Antonio wouldn't have a job. I am so pissed right now
IM, seems the guy has some morals or at least doesn't want to get in trouble being an felon and all. He called LE and didn't talk to the defense. So until I see something about him being amoral, I give him a pass because he called LE. I don't think he will be a witness for the defense. JMO JSM

Thank God, I swear I loathe Bozo and Mumbles......I think they could take 8 days to present the defense *cough cough* case, since Bozo needs LKB texting him to question anyone, doesn't know what he can and can't admit to evidence and seems to be totally befuddled about rules and procedure. I wish we knew how much as a percentage of this case so far has been sidebars and off the record admonishments due to dumb and dumber (betting it is at least 60%)

I know what's gonna happen after Casey gets convicted to life in prison (which I believe is what she'll get). She's going to blame her parents for not lying for her under oath. She will probably make the rest of their lives a living hell!

I think sometimes people get in trouble and go to prison for theft, drug dealing etc., etc., but that doesn't mean those same people would be willing to take part in or help cover up the murder of a child.  From what I understand, there's honor among some thieves.  Those that harm children are on a much different plane in the crime hierarchy imo.  Maybe the guy didn't want to get in any more trouble, or maybe he had an idea who the people calling were and didn't want any part of  it.  I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Good point, I guess I just do not trust Bozo and Mason - just like the Judge, but after hearing that the phone number was two digits that were transposed, I don't even think the jury will hear from him, but we will see.

Love the judge - what is there to prove accidental death?

JP's asking for CM's proof on accidental death caused me to choke on my water-that question and CM's blank stare, was great!

I think CM's so use to discussing defense strategy, with no actual plan in place, nodding, bobble headed Bozo, that he's only prepared if he's talking to other nodding Bozo's who agree with him. JP's trial knowledge, common sense and intelligience has appeared to catch him off guard a few times.

Dr. G's another. CM's cross prep didn't seem to go beyond he'd ask her for cause of death, she admit it was unknown and he'd puff up, smile at the jury, point proven and he'd be done.  Dr G strayed off his script too and onto one of reason and he appeared stunned and did nothing. She all but gift wrapped up his dumb-azz and handed it back to him, while he stood there.....doing nothing, really.

I thought he was the experienced DP qualified pro here? Where did he get his experience, cross examining doorjams?

JP is an amazing judge and defintely the right pick for this trial.

 ::snipping2::
The Anthony case has always provided a lot of room for everyone, including the TV experts, to speculate.  The start of the defense’s case on Thursday meant a good deal of speculating today.

WOFL-Channel 35 legal analyst Tennis talked about what the defense may be thinking after Chief Judge Belvin Perry denied an acquittal in the case today. “Now the defense is thinking the only way that we really preserve a good appellate argument is if our evidence doesn’t conflict with the state evidence,” she said. She wondered if the defense would “shift gears totally” and ignore its opening statement in favor a new argument that Anthony had checked out of reality.

“The defense is really going to need to spend the rest of day figuring this out so they’ve got some sort of coherent, cohesive story to start presenting to us,” Tennis said. “They probably shouldn’t have given that opening.”

WESH-Channel 2 legal analyst Richard Hornsby predicted that the defense team would put its forensic experts on first, then possibly former meter reader Roy Kronk and Anthony family members. Hornsby predicted that Casey Anthony, if she testifies, will go last, WESH’s Amanda Ober said. “But that is a big if,” Ober added.

Can't stand either of them and I don't know how to vote for how long the defense will take, I think it will take ages because Baez will play flip with his easel pad, play with his erase board and Mumbles pretending to be deaf. (no offense for those that have hearing problems, my Grandmother was basically deaf without hearing aids), but this man can hear a pin drop when he makes an objection, but can tell a prosecution witness he can't hear their answers. Betcha it doesn't happen when it is a defense witness.
