You are likely correct, Robots.  The Dutch wanted out of Aruba long ago but through the UN we asked them to stay to lend stability to the region.  I doubt they are exactly thrilled to still be there and also doubt Aruba is much of an asset to them.

Aruba screams autonomy when convenient and they don't want to answer questions or do the right thing.  The only time they are still under the Dutch is when they want more money.  Then they refuse to even give an accounting of the money they get.

If the Dutch can't make them account for money they give them, I doubt they can make them do much of anything.

They are Uggs and made in Australia.  I am wearing them in honor of Tibro being from there.

Some of the Arubans love their island very passionately.  The Dutch don't love Aruba like the Arubans do.  I totally agree with Robots that it is much more likely an Aruban will tire of this mess and try to bring it to a conclusion one way or another.

ALE will jerk the Dutch around just the way they did the family and what exactly they could do about it, I don't know.  Perhaps invite Interpol to try their hand at the investigation?

A professional cover up is very hard to do anything about, especially one that makes evidence disappear.

Maybe statements are the only or best evidence that remains.  We don't have very many of those.  They collected no forensic evidence then say that is the only kind that counts--go figure on that one.  

Back to work. . . . . . .the sun is shining and is so bright it hurts my eyes!!

I agree with Jossy that the MOJ wants the case shut down. Croes deciding to hand the case over to the KLPD 14 months after the family requested it cannot be trusted. Also, at the presser announcing the handover Remkes said KLPD would take *no more than a few weeks*.

But that was 6 months ago. KLPD is still on the case. OM recieved a 5 month extension to investigate. Now 10 police are going to Aruba. They must believe they can do something.

How ya feeling hon?  Did you end up getting some sleep light night.  Sometimes when I am feeling "sicky" and ... having trouble sleeping ... a half of gravol does that trick.
