from the fbi website....

April 7, 2007
Vancouver, Washington
KHOI DANG VU

DESCRIPTION
Date of Birth: July 26, 1981 Place of Birth: Vietnam
Sex: Male Hair: Black
Height: 5'5" Eyes: Brown
Weight: 105 pounds Race: Asian
(Vietnamese Descent)

THE DETAILS
Khoi Vu was last seen by his family sometime between the hours of midnight and 1 a.m. on the morning of April 7, 2007, at the home which he shares with his family in Clark County, Washington. They noticed he was missing around 8 a.m. on April 7, 2007. Vu apparently left the house without his favorite jacket and his bicycle, which is his primary mode of transportation. He has never disappeared at night before, and has never left the house alone for more than an hour or two at a time.

REMARKS
Khoi Vu has been deaf since birth, cannot speak, and has a mental disability that leaves him with the skills of a ten-year-old. He communicates by using American Sign Language, although his skills are very limited. Vu does communicate through writing and by using general hand signals, and since he is very outgoing, he may approach anyone.

Vu enjoys playing basketball and video games. He is familiar with the Albertson's grocery store in his neighborhood and may confuse other Albertson's stores with that one.

Although born in Vietnam, Vu is an American citizen who understands, reads, and writes English. He does not understand Vietnamese. Additionally, his right arm/hand is slightly deformed.

His picture is on their website.  This poor boy seems helpless and has a family that loves him a lot.  There is some more info on the AMW website.  Question

Missing Disabled Man Subject Of Search
Since April 7, 2007, family members and local law enforcement have been looking for 25-year-old, Khoi Vu.  Authorities say that Vu is deaf, has the mental capability of an 11-year-old boy and has never gone missing for such an extended period of time.

The Vu family had planned to leave for Seattle on a weekend trip to celebrate Khoi's mother's birthday.  Family members can't fathom why he would stray from the residence since he was so excited about the upcoming journey.  On April 6, the night before the scheduled trip, Khoi watched TV in his mother's bedroom and also showed her how nicely he had wrapped her present.  It was the last time he was seen.

As locals kept an eye out for Vu, the next day a resident claimed that she had seen Vu on the basketball court at Ellsworth Elementary School.  The woman gave Vu a bottle of water which he reportedly drank quickly.  Search dogs were brought in to pick up Vu's scent, but they eventually lost the trail.

On April 9, 2007, officers, agents and volunteers continued to canvass the area around the man's missing home, including a nearby Albertson's that he frequented.  Cops say that Vu may wander into an Albertson's since its a locale he recognizes.

Family members say that Khoi is extremely friendly and approachable.  He typically communicates by hand-written notes or makes hand signals.  Family members also say that he can make purchases in stores and can order food in a restaurant, usually by pointing at the menu.

Vu is described as 5'5", 105 lbs, skinny arms and legs, and has coarse, straight hair about 1-2 inches long on top, but clipped on the sides.  Authorities are asking for the community's involvement in helping to find Khoi Vu.

Missing local man listed on influential Web site

Tuesday, April 17, 2007
BY KELLY ADAMS Columbian staff writer

Khoi Dang Vu, the Vancouver man missing since April 7, is now listed on the Web site for "America's Most Wanted."

His case is not scheduled to be featured on the crime-fighting television show, said Clark County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Cooke.

The Web site features a section listing children and adults who have gone missing all over the United States.

More than a week ago, Vu, left his Orchards-Sifton home at about 1 a.m. and hasn't been seen since. Vu is deaf and developmentally disabled. He has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old.

Extensive searches have failed to find any trace of the 25-year-old man. Fliers with his photo and description were posted Friday afternoon near the Albertsons grocery store at Northeast 137th Avenue and Padden Parkway.

The sheriff's office has received more than a 100 tips about Vu but none has led to the missing man or clues to what happened to him.

Vu was born in Vietnam but is an American citizen. He has limited American Sign Language skills. Vu reads and writes English.

He is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 105 pounds. Vu has black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone with information call 911.

Missing Man Investigation Turns Criminal

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Police say the search for a missing developmentally disabled man has turned into a criminal investigation.

VuKhoi Dang Vu, 25, has been missing for nearly three weeks now. He was last seen by his family who put him to bed in the early hours of April 7. When they went to wake him, his bed was made and Vu was nowhere to be found.

Vu was born deaf and can only communicate through sign language. He is also developmentally delayed and his family says he has the mental capacity of an 11-year-old.

Sgt. Tim Beiber says that missing people are usually located within a two week time frame. He believes that if Vu were simply lost or wandering, they would have found him by now.

"Certainly if he was just a missing person who was lost, certainly we would expect to locate him or some sign of him or have something come in that led us to believe he's made his way to another area." said Beiber.

Neighbors say there has been increased police presence at the Vu's home in Vancouver. The Clark County Sheriff's Office says there are persons of interest but no one has been singled out just yet.

I wonder if they found something and are not saying, or if they simply rule it suspicious or a homicide because he's been missing a few weeks.

Thanks Muffy......I have looked at many UID's in hopes of finding a match to him. Never any luck. Hopefully he will be brought home someday. I just can't imagine he is still alive. The odds are against it.
