After enhancing this photo, it's clear to me anyway that the dealer at the table is NOT Guido:

Besides just buying a new car and skipping his graduation he also cut short his 3 month internship as a crouper at the casino. Five witnesses came forward saying Guido had deep scratches on his face..Some as long as three inches..He hires the most expensive lawyer in europe and his father goes on record saying he doesnt know Joran Van Der Sloot.. At the same time his attorney Spong says they are good friends.

I am still curious why the ALE mentioned Battery and Heavy Battery when they arrested Guido and GVC. They claim they have no evidence.

Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reported Monday that Guido W. was doing a three-month internship at the casino in the Marriott Hotel in Aruba when Holloway disappeared.

The paper cited an employee of the hotel as saying Guido W. left Aruba in June, before his internship was finished, to study in the Netherlands.

In an interview with Dutch NOS television Sunday, Spong said Aruban authorities suspect his client of "assisting in the murder, battery and kidnapping of Natalee Holloway."

Morning Monkeys, just reading through what I missed from last night.
I was wondering if anyone knows what  Thornton Ratliff                         looks like,  and if it could possibly be him in the pic?
 
Sometime  between 8:00 and 10:00pm on Sunday, WATSON went into the casino of the hotel and saw JURON VAN DER SLOOT. She went to a change machine and saw VAN DER SLOOT standing near RUTH MCVAY and MADISON WHATLEY  near a blackjack table.  After Watson played some slot machines for a few minutes, she went  to the blackjack table where she had seen her friends. She saw VAN DER SLOOT sitting at the blackjack
table with classmate THORNTON RATLIFF. VAN DER SLOOT appeared to be betting a lot of money. He also had some kind of small electronic device on the table in front of him that the device was called an "ipod" which was something similar to an mp-3 player. Some of WATSON'S female friends were standing around VAN DER SLOOT while he played, but WATSON does not remember seeing HOLLOWAY there. After a minute or two, WATSON walked into the hotel lobby and saw HOLLOWAY
coming out of the bathroom and had the above-mentioned conversation.

I've been working and lurking, saw you post a little bit ago.
Do you think Joran had the red jeep out the night of the 29th/30th?
And if you do think Joran had it out, and if you believe the cops found out prior to June 13th that the jeep had been out in the wee hours of the morning of the 30th, but they ( the cops) by the 13th didn't know yet who had the jeep out, how did the cops know the jeep was out?
I think it was a GPS transmitter.

I believe there was a reason to haul away two vehicles.  If the judge would not allow them to search the house, he certainly would not let them take two vehicles without cause. IMO  Now, I personally don't think they would have had the nerve to put GPS on the vehicle and I do believe Paulus would know if they did.  I think someone spotted the jeep.  Maybe the fishermen only saw the top (white) and thought it was a suzuki top...maybe the two witnesses saw the VDS in the Jeep by McDonalds...

I for one, am grateful for the posts.  I only have one dog to worry about, I can't imagine the horror of caring for several animals during this time.
The connection site has voluntary registration.  I can't imagine the number of people that don't even know about the site and haven't registered. The whole situation is so tragic.  You would think there would be more corporate responsibilty in identifying and removing the tainted food. Very skeery.
If the food contaminates animals in our food chain (which it might), people might sing a different song.

I don't think any witnesses saw the jeep at MacDonalds. I do think some misdirectors with invetigation inside information threw that rumor out early on after they found out the cops new the jeep was out and about that night. That rumor was that Paulus, Joran and Natalee were seen at McDonalds/ATM around 4 AM in the red jeep. I don't buy that one bit.
My assumption so far is the narc squad had for a while been montoring Joran and the phone taps weren't to watch Paulus, but instead to keep track of Joran and any drug related activity. If the narcs had the phones tapped they probably also had the VDS vehicles GPS'd. In the 6/13/5 interogations of both of the Kalpos they asked both if Joran knows how to drive a car? They did not ask if Joran had driven or knew how to drive Depaks car. They asked it Joran Knew how to drive. So, they knew the Jeep was out that night, but at that point they didn't know who was driving it. GPS. The 4 AM phone call Paulus finally admitted to may very well have gone something like " Hey I just woke up cause I heard my jeep start and I saw you drive away in it, what the f_ck are you up to?"

Anyway, that's my take on it so far. If anyone has any facts that can override my theory, let me know.

For all I know, they could be bakers, morning shift people, fishermen, security guards.  Lots of people can be up at 4am.

I agree that if Natalee was in any Jeep she was not alive.  If Paulus was indeed out at that time of night he was with Joran to temporarily dispose of Natalee because she died at the Van der Sloot residence.  

I agree about Joran driving.  He in fact did know how to drive and they knew he did because he probably has been caught once or twice and daddy fixed that for him.

I agree about them possibly monitoring Joran's activities.  I think he was into drugs big time.

I don't remember a 4 am phone call.  I remember someone heard Paulus say he picked Joran and Natalee up at 4 am.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I also believe that Paulus was well aware of Joran's routine of drugging, rapping tourist girls because this is not the first time he has taken them to his house.  Anita maid it known that Joran took girls home all the time.  Why would she feel the need to share that with us.  Because she knew he had done it 20 times before.  JMO.
