I am not convinced that George knew or suspected anything prior to picking up Casey's vehicle from Johnson towing.  Cindy and George's respective current and former professions and their own words imply they both immediately recognized the death odor emitting from the trunk and ... it did not take long to put two and two together and ... it added up to four.  The realization hit them that their precious granddaughter was no longer alive.  I suspect that it was at this point that Casey's parents embarked on a mission to distance their daughter from implication.

As far as the FBI being curious about whether Lee could be Caylee's father.......... that "CMA" crap would have been enough to make someone wonder, IMO. I'm not sure which came first, but it was really creepy to me.

My theory implies that Caylee died from a lethal overdose of chloroforum right in her own bedroom.  Think about it.  The change of clothes, duct tape, toy horse, blanket, laundry bag and sticker are all items connected with the Anthony home.

I do not believe that Caylee suffocated.  The duct tape was used after her demise to prevent the body fluids from escaping from the nose, mouth and ears ... a happening that encompanies the death process.

IMO

Janet

Janet, my husband died in our home with my arms around him.  None of the fluid stuff happened.  In fact, I closed his eyes.  It was maybe  forty-five minutes for the medical examiner and police to come and release his body.  That happens when someone dies at home, although he was in a terminal coma for some weeks.  There was no fluid coming out of his nose or mouth.  I happen to have some real experience with this.

11:10am Thursday, June 16, 2011 Court is in session.

So they ran the test and if he was a possible father they would send it to another lab.  She then reported out that Lee Anthony could be the father of Caylee Anthony.

WOW, I finally had a chance to read back and this should be COULD NOT BE THE FATHER OF CAYLEE ANTHONY.  I am soooo sorry Monkeys, I haven't read further but need to clear this up..........now there are sooo many pages

Klaas or Mod, please, please clear this up.  I could just kick myself.  That is not what I heard,  I HEARD COULD NOT BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it started simply with the name Caylee...combo of Casey and Lee.
The speculation started all over the web, and then Casey's stories to Jesse about Lee and George, and we all know the rest.

The defense strategy is becoming clearer, and really it shouldn't surprise us. It is not to their advantage to dig into the facts surrounding KC, so they are going to cherry pick ugly facts about others and try to make those the issue. It's the epitome of the phrase "smoke and mirrors". YOO WOO! Don't look there! Look here!

George had an affair and lost money gambling: AHAH!!, Cindy was controlling: AHAH!!, Lee's creepy: AHAH!!

As long as George, Lee, and Cindy are the focus, then KC, and more importantly Caylee, take a backseat along with justice for Caylee's murder.

ITA~Eli died in my daughter's arms and we got to hold him, and let NILMDTS come in and take photos, it was a good 3-4 hrs before I thought I had to get my daughter out of there before the inevitable started to happen, no fluids, no stiffness..nothing at all, in fact I have all the pics from NILMDTS taken around the 4 hr mark and you could move his hands, feet etc and it just looked like he was asleep.  an angelic monkey

IM and Babybear, I'm so sorry for your losses.

I hate to even bring this up, as I don't want to upset anyone, it's just that the situations surrounding the deaths are very different. While your loved ones were ill and died, what could be termed, a "natural death" Caylee, on the other hand, was a healthy child that died a sudden and probably violent death and therefore the body would react or respond to death differently...we don't know though, and we probably never will.

My son died prior to birth. He had some fluids coming from his mouth and ears even a couple of hours after birth. He also had some skin slippage due to having passed several hours at least before delivery. When the skin slippage starts there is fluid - the nurses explained that it is normal at this point of decomp (they were nicer about it but it is what it is). If Caylee died in the trunk and was dead in the heat for several hours, there very likely could have been some fluids. I suspect that this scenario is what happened. I am sure that either the chloroform or the heat did it or a combination. Who knows when KC came to enough to remember there was a child in her trunk.

We forgot one BIG thing.............
Kc did a search on death.
Didn't think of it till right now.
I bet if you searched for death(I'm not doing a search) it will tell you what happens at death  and afterwards what the body goes threw ...
I bet kc printed it out too.  Takes what 2-3 seconds for the printer to buffer then print.

Janet

Janet, I agree with them knowing the odor of the car, I think George was freaked about it when the guy popped open the trunk, but there was no body in there so he was relieved. That's when he went home, Cindy cleaned the car, etc.

I think the magnitude of them realizing Caylee was dead was when Cindy picked KC up and could/would not produce Caylee. I think that is when it hit them like a ton of bricks. But KC being the liar she has been and her parents always believing those lies had a glimmer in their minds of hope that Caylee was still alive.

Hope this makes sense, I try not to take up for G & C, but I have always felt this is the case.

Damn the news media for sensationalizing today's events and making it sound as if MAJOR DRAMA took place in the courtroom.  I checked the news before I came here and was falsely led to believe that "The trial ground to a halt when Baez dropped a 'Lee is possibly Caylee's father' bombshell" and that "Judge Perry dismissed the jurors and verbally blasted Baez."

But after reading all your comments in this thread, it didn't really go down like that, did it?  Friggin' media.

In other words ... I am suspicious of the truth regarding all the encounters that George claimed to have with Casey within that 30 day period.

1.  June 15th - George claims that he watched Casey and Caylee leave that house at approximately 1:00 PM.  Amazinging he recalls over one month later exactly what Casey and Caylee were wearing upon departure.  However ... cell phone records and desktop investigation appear to imply that Casey never left the home until approximately 4:30 PM.

2.  June 24th - George changed both the times and the events encompassing this encounter.  In his interview with LE he described in detail what he observed inside the trunk of Casey's vehicle and then last week he testified he saw nothing.

3.  June 30th - George goes into detail in his interview with LE describing a chase that occurred on the road with Casey when she took off in her mother's vehicle.  However ... LE was able to determine that the chase was all a fabrication.

 ::snipping2::
The statement from attorney Mark Lippman follows:

—————————————————————————

Casey Anthony through her defense team has filed a last minute witness that they have just "newly" discovered. This defense motion has alleged that there were four points of contact on July 14, 2008, by telephone between Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson and my client, Mr. George Anthony.

Further, it has been identified through the Clerk of Court in Orange County, Florida, that Mr. Vasco Dagama Thomson has a criminal conviction.

Mr. Anthony has requested that following information be released to the media:Mr. Anthony does not know Vasco Dagama Thompson.

Mr. Anthony does not recall ever speaking with Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson at any time including July 14, 2008, by any form of communication.
Mr. Anthony does not recall ever receiving telephone calls from Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson including on July 14, 2008.
Mr. Anthony does not recall ever calling Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson. including on July 14, 2008.
The Defense has failed to identify who initiated the telephone calls.
The Defense has failed to identify the length of time of each telephone call.
This simply appears to be another attempt by the defense to attack my client. Mr. Anthony has and will continue to maintain the position that he had nothing to do with the death of Caylee Marie Anthony, or any of the events that occurred afterward regarding the actions of the Defendant Casey Anthony established by the State of Florida in the presentation of their case.

Joy's jumped on the bandwagon for ratings, she could give a crap about justice or Caylee. Last night she had Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed on, asked Gene a loaded question and Shannon stormed off the set. Simmons accused Joy of purposely creating drama for ratings and well, I'm a little O/T. I don't think Joy has a  clue when it comes to Caylee Anthony, the case or the accused...IMO
