I think that Casey should take the stand, but I don't think you can believe a word that comes out of her mouth.. so to put her up there would pretty much screw her.

Good morning monkeys! We are another day closer to justice for Caylee Marie! I saw most of yesterday morning but missed parts here and there due to multi-tasking. I had to leave and did not return until court was over at the end of the day.When I left the lady with the upside down glasses was on the stand and had just finished her long list of credentials. I am going back to try to catch what I missed . If anyone has a heads up of anything I absolutely need or might want to hear, please head me in that direction. I usually take the weekend to catch up and start Monday off with a clean slate so to speak then by mid or end of week start the process of getting behind and having to catch up on the weekend. Thus far Baez has proven to be so boring I was having a hard time staying awake last night to listen to the vids.
So...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!Y'all are the best!!!!!

Good morning, Monkeys!  I voted yes.  Not because I think it's prudent, smart, or a reasonable strategy on the part of the defense, but because I think the perfect storm of Casey's malignant narcissism, Baez's outsized ego and Mason's Alzheimered Arrogance combined would make them think it would work.  After all, these are the geniuses that brought you Laura Buchanan and VascoDagama Thompson!

Casey Anthony trial: Dr. Werner Spitz autopsy expert star witness may testify today
6:45 AM, Jun 17, 2011  |

 ::snipping2::
Spitz conducted a second autopsy on Caylee's decomposed body after it was found in the woods in Orlando. He says what he found is consistent with drowning.

Altogether, Spitz says he has performed more than 60,000 autopsies. He has consulted on cases as far back as the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

He has also worked on recent cases like the disappearance of JonBenet Ramsey.

Defense Enters Day 2 Of Its Case In Casey Anthony Trial
Posted: 6:44 am EDT June 17, 2011Updated: 7:29 am EDT June 17, 2011

 ::snipping2::
Baez is expected to call more of the prosecution's forensic witnesses to the stand Friday after questioning several crime scene investigators and FBI evidence analysts on Thursday about the evidence they collected and examined.

The defense has spent time trying to discredit the state's evidence, instead of backing up their own theory.

As the defense began presenting its case, Baez questioned an FBI DNA analyst about whether investigators believed Casey and her brother, Lee Anthony, had a sexual relationship.

Baez didn't get far with that line of questioning. He also focused on evidence from where Caylee's remains were found.

In a misstep he asked about a blanket that's not in evidence, “My apologies, the blanket that was just described is not in evidence. I move to strike,” said Baez.

WFTV’s legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said those kind of mistakes hurt the defense's case.

“That kind of mistake is sloppy and it undercuts in the jurors' minds his authority and credibility,” he said.

Baez spent the entire day on Thursday attacking prosecutors' evidence. It's unclear where his witness list will go from there, but Sheaffer said Baez will have to move along much quicker, or he can expect Judge Belvin Perry to intervene.

Casey Anthony trial: Defense to continue presenting its case By Amy Pavuk, Orlando Sentinel
5:32 a.m. EDT, June 17, 2011

Casey Anthony's defense team will continue presenting its case today when her first-degree murder trial resumes at 9 a.m.
The defense began laying out its case Thursday by calling several Orange County crime scene investigators and FBI employees. Their testimony, often brief, focused on forensic evidence.
It's unclear who the defense will call to testify today or whether Anthony, 25, will ever take the stand.

I agree with you dani, I would think skelatal remains could only be used to determine something like shooting ,beating, long term poisoning, etc.  Many different ways to die that bones would not show (I would think).

I also will be interested in hearing what he has to say. Dr. G worked with a wonderful set of docs that gave her all the information there was to find. I can not imagine what Spiz could find to add to the report.  I have worked against him in malpractice trials (I am in Michigan) and was never impressed with him. He tended to give opinions that were based more on who was paying him than how the person died.

One thing that I have always wondered about and not been able to discover is the hyoid bone. This bone is not listed, that I could see, in the bone collection list. Since it ossifies at about 4 months of age, I wish they would have found it. It would be so helpful in seeing if KC strangled the baby.

Have to see how he explains the chloroform in the trunk.

Nope - but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night! JK

Actually, I worked in hospitals for about 10 years then worked medical malpractice defense for about 8. I never finished my nursing education but had to know bunches for both jobs.
