Gosh, I must be watching the wrong trial??
OMG I thought Aphrodite Jones was smarter than that.

She has made quite a few comments favoring the defense & has put merit to Casey's allegations against her father & brother....personally I cant stand her, her tone or her false empathy toward anyone
the competition must be getting tough so she has to take the "devil's advocate side" to guarantee a spot on tv today.  what a loser

Was she watching the same trial???

I think that is a rather lazy analysis. Acting like a pompus, conspiratorial fool is hardly owning the court room. People are quick to dismiss cooks and moonbats. As for his expertize, how many young folks just pat the crazy old uncle on the head and say .. that's just Uncle Steve. Now get him some milk and cookies.

She also must have missed the two jurors laughing at the witness!

There are 12 jurors that took in Dr. Spitz's testimony. I believe that it's going to be a real bone of contention during deliberations. I'd be surprised if one or two of them didn't have a different take on today's events than we do. Hopefully, Dr. G can clear it up as a rebuttal witness.

I don't think there was a homerun today by the State, but only because I remember my impressions during jury selection about a couple of jurors.

I just got back but I see that Spiz did not disappoint - he was the obnoxious and pompous self. Now to read back . . .

I think the jurors (and our) intelligence was just insulted greatly.

I thought he said til 3:00 on Sat. and 5:30 - 6:00 on the other days...Mon - Fri.  So if that is what I heard, it's not bad, I think the jurors will be fine with this and CJBP just gave the attorneys ample time to move up their witnesses.

Spitz broke Caylee's skull when he opened it..

I am not sure why, but that hurts my heart. I saw the picture of the CSI being so careful removing her little skull from the swamp....and this asswipe breaks her skull.......

ITA Sunny..it brought tears to my eyes..this man has no respect for the deceased..he should not be a doctor of anything ..he didn't even act apologetic..he is not brilliant he is a complete imbecile with no heart or soul.

I'm going way out on a limb here....

Dr. Spitz is obviously past his prime and delinquent wrt to medical advances that have manifested, over the course of the last few decades, and accepted by the medical community. I've been angry at the defense before, but this takes the cake. Dr. Spitz has probably witnessed some real horrors, having grown up in Europe, during the holocaust, and being a Jew.... I take issue with the DT even consulting this Dr, let alone securing his testimony...They have taken advantage of an old fool, whose methods and knowledge are significantly impaired at this point! I don't believe Dr Spitz is in control of his faculties and I blame the DT for the latest fiasco....JMHO

IMHO I dont think Dr Spitz's testimony had ANY merit whatsoever & I would be totally stunned if any juror felt otherwise.  His testimony was tainted, putting forward a theory for the defense thick and thru & went against normal medical procedure in many respects just to put forward a defense for this slore.  His combative shows that he had major concerns with having to be defensive, as it turns out with a ton of merit.

I hope their laughing doesn't get them in trouble...  Then again, KC has been doing that through this entire trial.

I totally disagree respectfully because I recall his position from when he first started commenting on this case, all the way back to them being on scene after the judge ruled they would not be able to be present at the crime scene or take part in the autopsy.   He is a willing participant.

No.  I heard until 5:30 or 6:00 in the evenings - that is 1/2 to 1 hour a day, which equals 2 1/2 to 5 hours.
Also, until 3:00 on Sat.  So, the jurors get 1 1/2 hrs. for lunch. and say the judge cuts that to 1 hrs.  At 1:00 they have an hour for lunch, come back at 2:00 and work until 3:00.  That's one more hour.

Judge is talking about adding 3 1/2 to 6 hours per week.

Mr. Ashton was absolutely brilliant.  One lawyer is going to come out of this trial famous for his professional work.  It ain't Baez or the Kentucky Colonel.

I do not think he is as forgetful as he plays on the witness stand.  I think he has very selective memory and plays on the feeble old man when it conveniences him.  He had no problems remembering little details when it suited him, yet forgetting everything that did not go with his theories.  A huge example for me was the book that Jeff presented and he said he had not read it, could not read it as it was written by lawyers, did not understand the words, but later on he quoted a page number from that book

He needs to go retire and build birdhouses and enjoy the rest of his life rather than seek the lime light.

I would think the jurors would be more than pleased with this added time.
