Dr. Rodriguez had been added to WIKI in what looks like May 2010 as a Co-Founder of the Body Farm with Dr. Bass. Saturday on the stand he testified that he WAS the co-founder and acted like it was his and Dr. Bass' idea.  He was NOT the co-founder and had not even graduated from college at the time it was started. Dr. Bass started it officially with the University of Tennessee in 1980. Rodriguez did not graduate from college until 1981. He did study anthropology in his undergraduate studies, so that is likely how he hooked up with Dr. Bass because he taught almost all of those classes at that time. He testified he poured concrete and put up the fences for it. I find that suspicious also because there were NO FENCES until a few years after it started. They were put up because some students found out about it and made trips there to see the bodies, so the word got out and some in the community were totally opposed to it and tried to get the state Legislature to make a law to stop it. Law enforcement stepped up and made sure the law did not pass because they were getting so much help from Dr. Bass.

I removed him as a Co-Founder because that is an inaccuracy and if he didn't do it to add to his credentials for this trial, then someone did to make him look better than he is. It did not have that until 2010 which is about the time I think he came into this case.

I really don't understand that because he is a highly respected anthropologist (as far as I know, really not much on him) and to do something like that and to lie on the stand makes me think his ego is larger than his brain. It also makes me leery of anything he testifies to because to testify on the stand he was a co-founder there is no telling what else he is going to say. He needs to be discredited early because of this in my opinion so I emailed Jeff Ashton with all the information I know and some references.

It really makes me pissed and also sad to see someone from my Alma mater misrepresent all great accomplishment Dr. Bass has implemented over the years.

I saw your other attachment regarding the change but I thought it was from June 2011...don't know what I was thinking. But the link I supplied asking for a screencap is for the comparison of 5/31/09 vs the prior.

Not sure on the Soc.cybrarian.  Looks to me like they are a "normal" wiki editor and not just someone (like a friend of the defense).  My bet is someone intentionally incorrectly editing a wiki entry would want to be anonymous ( IP only) and not registered as a wiki editor with a nick name.

I don't think Huntster is the one who made THAT edit.  The edit was made by IP 69.243.126.253 (no name just the IP).  Edit is on the right and what was edited shows up in RED.

The Body Farm is more correctly known as the University of Tennessee Forensic Anthropology Research Facility. It was established in 1980 by the pioneering forensic anthropologist William Bass and is dedicated to the study of the rate of decomposition of the human corpse under various conditions that are relevant to crime investigation. Many hallmark scientific papers have come out of the research at the Body Farm and this new knowledge has been crucial in driving forensic investigation into unsolved deaths.

Klaas, I agree with you about wiki but why would somebody edit erroneous info accidentally over & over again? Did you see where somebody had a previous edit on Vass' page that said something about an Anthony case opinion?

OH there is absolutely some funny stuff going on and in this case likely funny stuff sanctioned by the defense team.  That is sortof my point.  Anyone can edit Wiki and unless someone checks it out, that edit might stay and appear to be legit.
