It was great to see Art Colley here, another real survivor and fighter.  Geez, what Art has been through.  Not many survive it and if they do, they are no where near as cognitive as that bright lady.

I, too, remember reading the claim that Deepak escorted Natalee out
of C and C's and that she seemed a bit unsteady.

Well if that is true, then there is NO doubt in my mind that Natalee was drugged or tricked.

HOLLOWAY:  Well, I think there was some early confusion on what some of the Mountain Brook kids reported and what they said.  I did speak with one individual.  And he said that they all came out of the establishment, and they were all talking, and everybody appeared to be OK.  And then suddenly they saw Natalee look around as if she was looking for someone and walked back into the establishment and was back in there approximately 15 minutes.  And then, when she came out, Deepak had her by the arm, leading her out of the bar.

COSBY:  And that was the last thing that they saw?  

HOLLOWAY:  Well, that was one of the individuals‘ witness statement was, was that Deepak walked her out.  Some of the others indicated that she walked out with Joran.  So I think that‘s a matter of clearing that issue up.

Yup..15 minutes later and she was almost a zombie I bet..No way in hell she would walk out with Deepak unless she was drugged..

.... but Deepak claims in his suspect statements that he left Carlos N' Charlies ahead of Joran and Satish.  Apparently, he waiting at his vehicle for them.  His June 9th statement and his June 11th statement differ ... lies are difficult to keep straight ... even for two days ... if you do not have a good memory.    Maybe the witness saw Natalee come out with Satish ... maybe Natalee thought Satish was a cab driver.

When I was walking outside, I could hear the announcement that it was the last opportunity to buy alcohol. That is always announced before closing, I walked to my car. My car was the only one parked in the back of the parking lot. I went and sat in my car to wait for Satish and Joran. I had no more money left on my pre-paid phone to call them. I was listening to the radio and was trying to adjust the sound. The car door on the right front door was opened. I looked up and saw that it was Satish. Satish sat down next to me. Then the back car door opened. Joran got into the car. He got in on the right side of the car and sat down behind Satish. The girl had also got into the car through the back car door on the left side. She sat down behind me in the car.

I walked to the parking lot where my car was parked. When I arrived at my car I sat on the ground next to my car, because my brother had the keys. I then called my brother on his mobile phone. I had almot no more minutes on my pre-paid phone so I called him in a way that produces what in English is called a “miss call”. After that my brother phoned me back, I asked him where they were and he said they were still inside and that he would come. After a while Satish came walking, I asked him where Joran was and he said that Joran was still inside. I told Satish to give me the keys and to go find Joran. Satish left again and I got into my car. I stayed inside of the car with the door open. I had one leg outside the car and I was playing music and adjusting my radio set-up. After a while I heard the door on the passenger side open. I saw Satish getting into the car. Joran opened the door behind Satish and also got into the car. I cannot remember if the girl got into the same car door. I do know that she sat down behind me.

You can get an amen here on that!  Who would??? But in Latin America I have seen cabbies be that aggressive to get fares especially with tourists who do not speak the language.  Sort of like they are explaining and directing the person to the cab.  Where I saw this was people arriving at air ports both in Brazil and Bolivia.

I had to laugh today...

And just had to read this one from 11/22/05

As a Travel agent in the US, I have had over 50 Bookings change from Aruba to other destinations just because they have read this board.

I have written to everyone there that I could and no one seems to care.

Please stop this board now, and this topic....

And it seems that Aruba is still having many of the problems they did back in mid 2001 (illegals, drugs, lack police enforcement.. etc)

When we travelled in Asia the cab drivers there would fight amongst themselves as to who got the tourists.  Pushing, shoving and shouting.
Then they would almost manhandle the chosen tourists to their cab.  Very frightening and was the same everywhere you went.  If you hired a driver to do all your driving as we did, he then had to shoo away all the other drivers which were gathered at every tourist spot, and shout "My tourists"  They used ordinary cars and rarely looked like a recognisable cab.

I think it was supposed to look something like that, Tibro.  Also Dan said the person he talked to was sure it was Deepak and not Satish.  How they could tell, I don't know but at least Dan claimed, at least in email, to have asked about which Kalpoe it could have been.  The source was sure it was Deepak and not Satish.

I wonder why Joran NOW insists according to book notes that it was Satish who picked him up but what about all those calls to Deepak supposedly when walking home.  It can't be both ways.  Either he walked home using cell phone along the way or somebody picked him up and he claims it was Satish?

Joran has lied so many times, I don't think even he can keep it all straight but if he is lying about it being Satish, you can bet he has a reason.  Maybe because Deepak  was on the computer and has an alibi in that and Satish only claimed to be sleeping and did not log on the computer as Deepak did.  That makes Satish the one with no alibi.

Anna, I could not do it without my desktop search engine.  When I name a file I just put keywords in the title.  The above quote ... title of the file was  ... DAVE DEEPAK ESCORT NATALEE CARLOS.  I do not think I have ever retrieved that quote since I save it but ... keywords DEEPAK and ESCORT did the trick.

Ahh good find!! I was looking at the old tripadvisor board today. A few things jumped out at me. Once again that early AM digital article about all 3 having sex with her. Also Natalee wasnt even missing a week and someone was already attacking Natalee and Beth on that forum. Who the hell was doing that???????

I guess another tourist saw natalee leave as well by herself..

My husband and I were in Aruba last week and spent time with the girls on The DePalm tours snorkel/booze cruise. We saw Natalie later that night at Carlos and Charlies and we commented that she was up to partyubg that night because of the exhaustive day we had on the boat. When we saw her leave she left by herself. No one was with her but we did notice some local guys talking to her while she was in there.

Well ... my sister-in-law just got up from a short nap following a very nice lunch at a local Japanese Restaurant and ... I am going to set up the Scrabble boards for a serious game ... maybe two.  I need a new Scrabble dictionary ... the one I have is falling apart.  I may take a few minutes and tape back in some the pages that have fallen out.

I sure hope there is some updates coming out of Aruba soon.
