Ms Marple filled me in today on what I've been missing. Do you realize there are only about 6 or 7 weeks until June 9th? Ugh I can't think of the smug Joran getting away with murder.
I'm doing OK. Spent a few days in the ICU this week. I started having chest pain. My heart is normal, it was a panic attack. Another pressure in my life caused it. not my upcoming case.
My court case is this coming Tuesday and I feel confident about it. I am well prepared. Clothes are ready, my book of facts is prepared, witnesses coming to court.
After the court case is over I should be back on a regular basis instead of this hit and run stuff.
Take care everyone, and I will report in after the court case.
Love ya,

Two articles from today's Amigoe.com ...
http://www.amigoe.com/english/
Quote
I was introduced to Effy Namdar
ORANJESTAD – Tourism-minister Edison Briesen says that he had an encounter with Effy Namdar on August 21st, 2006. Royal Caribbean International arranged the introduction. The cruise company wanted an agreement between Aruba and Namdar for the development of the harbour, said Briesen in a press conference yesterday.
He also admits that he had contact with Michael Williams till September 2003. The alleged bribery letter was addressed to Williams. “The contact disintegrated due to problems with his water sport business and an incident with Minister Booshi Wever.”
However, Amigoe was allowed access to the documents last week, from which it appears that Briesen still corresponded with Williams up till and including December 13th, 2004.
The letters were about a permit for a stand for a water sport business in front of Occidental Grand Aruba that Williams wanted to start with a partner. The documents show that Williams was appealing to Briesen to grant him the permit as soon as possible. ”It is possible that letters were sent later, but the contact was no longer the same since 2003”, said Briesen in a reaction. Briesen said during the press conference that Williams was indeed his campaign-leader in 2001 and attracted funds for the election campaign. “Of course, you have to be very careful with that. But at that time, I have never seen a letter from Namdar, or have accepted money as is asserted in the letter.”
Briesen says that the contact with the Namdar Group is of August last year. The encounter was organized by Royal Caribbean International, and other than Briesen, also the director of Aruba Ports Authority, Alfonso Boekhoudt was present.
“Royal Caribbean wanted to introduce us to one of their business partners. Later, they wanted us to sign an agreement with Namdar, but I refused. I repeated the same again to John Tercek in Miami (during the Seatrade Convention last March, red.). Tercek is the vice-president Commercial Developments of Royal Caribbean, and I told him that I do not sign anything with third parties.”
“Why was Prime Minister Nelson Oduber so sure that he doesn’t know Namdar?” Briesen: “I haven’t really talked to the Prime Minister about this. I don’t know the contacts of the other ministers either.”
Oduber said in public that he does not do business with the Namdar Group and Briesen subscribes to this. “As I said earlier, I already told Royal Caribbean this last year.” The minister assented though that if the assignment for the harbour is allotted to the company, it will contract other parties for the execution. “I cannot control that.” Briesen says that no restriction on cooperation with third parties is included in the just signed declaration of intent.
PROJECT WORTH MILLIONS
According to the Tourism-minister, four parties have shown interest in the development of the harbour area; Trusam/Fresno, Barton Group, Cortez Group, and Royal Caribbean. One of the ministers that was present at the presentation of Royal Caribbean’s plans told Amigoe the day before yesterday that other than a cruise terminal, the cruise company also wants to build a hotel and casino. Briesen confirms this, but also says that he ‘is absolutely against another hotel and casino in the harbour area. Let them go negotiate their passengers’ stay-over with the new owner of the Bushiri hotel.”
The minister says that Royal Caribbean’s plan is an investment of approximately 400 million florins. In three months, after the negotiation, we will know what Royal Caribbean is allowed to do.

Taxpayer is stuck with the inefficiency of Dimas
ORANJESTAD – The LAR-judge has 500 cases against Dimas for the refusal of residence permits and the court has another 400 lawsuits pending. These cases and the fines imposed by the judge cost the government or taxpayer a lot of money, 200.000 to 2 million florins.
The permit policy of Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) was already chaotic; this became worse when Booshi Wever (also MEP) of Immigration Affairs took this over.
Monica Kock (MPA) says that it is unacceptable that the taxpayer is stuck with the inefficiency of Dimas. She says that she voted in favour of the new National Ordinance Admittance and Deportation (LTU), because she was of the opinion that the unlimited growth of the number of foreigners on the island had to stop. But she says that the problems Aruba is coping with now result from the fact that the law is passed without implementation order. Dimas is implementing the law incorrectly and inhumanely.
“Something is definitely wrong when 900 people take Dimas to court. But they just continue working as if nothing matters. It minister Wever had to pay all the fines and costs from his own pocket, won’t you think that this will stop. But the population pays. Nobody at Dimas cares. How long do the people have to pay for the negligence of Dimas or the minister?”
People that can afford to appeal a refusal, take it to court. The court- and legal costs, which are a minimum of 1500 florins per case and 1000 florins fine imposed on a daily basis in case of non-compliance, are to the account of the government. There is a case where the amount of the fine increased to 40.000 florins and the aggrieved party had to attach the bank account of the tax department.
Kock says that the inefficiency of Dimas is slowly but surely getting across to several other government departments and it leads to irritations. The Legislation Department does not have sufficient lawyers to defend the government in all the lawsuits. The Finance Department is also starting worry, now that they realize that the amount in fines can no longer be neglected.

KRISTEN FOUNDATION NAMED FOR CHARLOTTE TEEN
Mission still exists, but money dwindles
Nonprofit struggles for funds to track missing adults, founder says
JENNY SONG
jsong@charlotteobserver.com
Every year for the past decade, Debbie and Bob Modafferi have left for California on a journey fraught with both sorrow and hope.
Ten years ago, they were looking for their daughter. Kristen Modafferi of Charlotte was 18 when she went missing during a summer working in San Francisco. The Modafferis are still looking for answers.
They have hired private investigators and erected billboards using money raised by the Kristen Foundation, a charity organized after Kristen's disappearance that helps find missing adults across the country.
But the money, said Joan Petruski, the Modafferis' neighbor and founder of the organization, has been increasingly difficult to raise.
She's expecting about 100 people for the annual Crystal Ball fundraiser tonight at the Carmel Country Club. In previous years, almost 200 attended.
"It's been a struggle," Petruski said. She hopes to raise $15,000, mostly from the ball's auction.
Lack of money means fewer families can be helped, said Petruski, who is the foundation's only full-time worker. One way the money is used is to buy search-and-rescue equipment, such as cameras for rescue planes or underwater cameras.
Charlotteans tend not to understand the foundation's purpose, Petruski said. Missing adults are different from disease research or even missing children.
And so is the accompanying feeling, said Debbie Modafferi, Kristen's mother, who will attend tonight's Crystal Ball.
"It's not like you've lost a child to illness," she said. "Because you're still waiting for her to come home. Because there's no closure."
Ten years, however, is a long time to wait. Modafferi acknowledges that it's unlikely that Kristen is still alive.
"We still want the answers," she said. "We want to bring her home, even if she is gone."
David Holloway's family has been a beneficiary of the Kristen Foundation since his daughter Natalee disappeared during a trip to Aruba in 2005. He said thoughts of the missing never go away.
"I try to keep myself busy," he said from Meridian, Miss. "But you lay down at night or get up in the morning and start thinking, always thinking about what happened. It's always running through your mind."
Petruski said that part of what she does is to be somebody who families can talk to. As for herself, she bakes when she feels down.
"It's not dinner conversation, what I do," she said. "Is it depressing? Very much so sometimes. But the only thing that is so sad about it is my funds are low and I have a waiting list of families that need my help."

O/T
New recalls posted in the Monkey Lounge on the recall thread.
Some of Royal Canin this time. NOT their Baby Puppy and mini Puppy I have been using.
At least so far. The RICE again. Corn gluten effected in Africa so now we have wheat, rice and corn all involved.
FDA suspects it is deliberate to up the protein content.
On and on it goes.
All mine are thriving now, thankfully. The cheaper brands seem to be less effected than the premiums. Pedigree and Puina seem to have fewer things recalled. Go figure!
