IMO, Dick of the Dutch is more concerned about looking credible and getting exposure for what he does so that he gets some business for that lab he is building , rather than following the dufense script right now.

I think he is actually enjoying this discussion with Jeff because he knew of his use of DNA in court for the first time

I really need an answer to this PLEASE.  How much adhesive was left on the duct tape? I know some had slouched down to an edge, but how much else was left?

From the pictures, it didn't look like much if any..  I don't know. 

If I recall correctly, the FBI expert that saw the heart impression first said that there was no adhesive left on the duct tape due to degradation.

i haven't been watching very closely but it seems like this witness is being honest and hasn't given any nutso conspiracy theories ... yet.  What are ya'all's opinions?  What did he actually testify to for the defense, that there should have been or was DNA on the tape?

I am sure he mentioned to Jeff about Jeff entering DNA 'first'.....I think he meant that he was aware that Jeff was the first person to use DNA in Orlando 20 years ago.

But then I have often been too trusting of people.
If he turns out to be a slimeball will someone remind me I trusted him?  

I find him very interesting. I don't hear him trying to make things up to justify his work.

I agree with you & flamom. Jeff is so good at what he does!

I find this witness' testimony interesting and I can see a future for touch DNA in a court of law. However, at this point, it is in it's infancy stage and unless and until, methods, procedures and analysis of tests and test results are widely accepted by the scientific community it doesn't help in this particular case. I think someday there will be a "Frye Hearing" somewhere, in which touch DNA will be the focus...could be why Jeff is being gently here, he does see the imporatance of futher developing methods of extracting DNA profiles fdrom "touch." JMHO
