Asking about the beginning of DNA, it used a substantial amount of blood or semen.  This new kind needs a smaller amount of DNA?  Yes.  The smaller amount of DNA, the harder that it is to relate it to the crime scene?  Yes.  The fear of contamination is much greater?  Correct.  Jeff went to the Big Pad.  If you tested the tape you might have found nothing?  Yes.  That would not be inconsistent that would not say that it was not placed on the child prior to decomp?  Yes.  The other option is that you would of found Caylee's DNA on the tape?  Yes.  The third option is that there would be an unknown DNA that is not related to the crime?  We would try to see if it was related.  What if it was unknown due to low copy DNA?  It would be very difficult, we would have to test it against all the people involved in the investigation and the people involved in the crime scene.  If you can exclude the investigators it becomes more likely that it is crime located.  You could never really know where this low copy number came from?  It is more common.  What if the lab tech had touched his wife and transfered her touch DNA?  That can happen.  The problem with low copy number DNA is that it could be contaminated or you don't know where it came from.  Jeff wants him to pull up the slide with the 3 items of evidence that tested positive for touch DNA.  Was the top left with a skeleton? No, was the next? No. Was the next?  No.  None of these 3 were associated with fully skeletonized remains?  No.

Based on what you do, it has no bearing on whether these were skeltonized remains?  No.  It could have problems but the condition of the items is more relevant than the condition of the body.  Mr Ashtons 3 scenarios, leave out a 4th important scenario, doesn't it?  Yes.  The fact that the duct tape was place around the mouth and nose in the first place?  Yes.  Mr Ashton asked you about contamination and how it works.  If the DNA matches the suspect, you don't ever go into court and say you just can't ever know?  No, we just give the evidence and the judge and jury decide.  The evidence is either there or it's not?  Yes.  There is either DNA or there is not?  Yes.

Are you telling this jury that the likelihood of this tape touching decomposing flesh would still have DNA?  No, it does make a difference if it's in contact with decomposing flesh.

In the transcript of the taped interview with investigators River stated that a frustrated  George told her that he accused Casey of killing Caylee and ... he attempted to choke his daughter in an effort to get her to tell the truth regarding the whereabouts of his granddaughter.

Id say it has to do with when this witness gets off the stand or if the cross can be done quickly.  He said he might go until 5:30-6PM from now on but didnt confirm it later

I think you're onto something Sunny. I also think that if George stated "it was an accident that snowballed" he was simply theorizing, because in his heart he couldn't believe KC would kill Caylee, a denial of sorts.

As far as Dominic Casey poking around on Suburban, I think the A's had been told Caylee was there and sent him in, but when he wasn't able to locate the body, they figured another KC lie, like all the others and it renewed their hope that mnaybe, just maybe Caylee was still out there alive somewhere...MOO

This is what my theory initially implied.   Maybe not an "accident" but ... an "unintended death" as a results of a chloroform overdose.  In other words ... an "unitended death" that resulted from an act of wrongdoing.  Therefore ... the cover up.

However ... when I considered the evidence released that revealed Casey's lifestyle in the month following her daughter's demise ... Casey's lifestyle that implied no grief or remorse ...  my thought process changed.  I could only conclude that Caylee's death was the result of premeditated murder by her mother.

A foster child of ours (who is a sociopath)  stole my mother's diamond ring and although I got it back the same day, she was gone that night as soon as I found out. No second thoughts, no excuses - GONE !! Some people thought that really harsh, but I will not have a thief in my house, my child, foster child, friend, regardless. If they steal, they can't be trusted and they won't be in my home.
