I really enjoy listening to this witness.
Will be surprised if he is here to lie as the other defense witnesses.
But then I have often been too trusting of people.
If he turns out to be a slimeball will someone remind me I trusted him?

I am sure he mentioned to Jeff about Jeff entering DNA 'first'.....I think he meant that he was aware that Jeff was the first person to use DNA in Orlando 20 years ago.

Here is where Spitz and this guy's conclusions fall apart: While they are trying to prove that the duct tape was not attached to skin because no DNA was found, THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO GLUE LEFT ON THE DUCT TAPE. The skin would have stuck to the glue. If the glue disintegrated and disappeared, so too would the skin attached to it.

Yes, that's what I thought too.  So why is this testimony going on?

6 months of exposure to the elements even caused the woven cloth backing on the duct tape to separate from the plastic portion of the tape....I can't imagine anyone would expect to find any DNA, touch or otherwise, on the evidence.

Hey Janet, I think they may have thought deep down that nothing added up with Casey, and that she must have had something to do with it.. but for so long, there was no body, and Casey was full of so many lies...  and they probably didn't want to believe their own flesh and blood capable of harming their granddaughter.. so who knows.   I mean the cover up (if one could say they were covering up something) could have just been choosing denial.

I like this 'expert' better than Dr Rod

He is very knowledgable...so is his wife. Problem I have is that he may be an expert in his field by what he's perfecting, however, he should look at other angles & take a forensic law course before testifying in cases where Touch DNA will be brought up. There is touch DNA on everything, on every single thing that's ever been touched by a human, unless destroyed...like from bacteria in the elements. Some of these experts testify & lean in towards whomever is paying them!
