KLPD = Dutch Cops / Team now in charge of investigation.

I've never heard them called that... and if I had, I've never asked.

Do you think maybe they're not making much effort to sell the book
in the U.S. out of fear of a lawsuit?

I have heard that the publisher tried very hard, and is still trying to get a book deal in the U.S..  Mostly from internet sources, though, so i don't *really* know.

Well, that's what I think... sometimes.

Don't know whether it's so much out of a feeling of guilt,
as it is out of the fear of having to face a judge, someday,
especially a judge in the U.S.

Later....

Hopefully the KLPD will get their hands on a copy of the book.

If they have any conscience at all, the thought of Joran making money off of Natalee's name should be highly motivating.

If they have any conscience at all...

We haven't seen a lot of this out of them so far, Igsigs. It would be a refreshing change.

I would think an American publisher would like to know the outcome of the case before investing dollars in an author that is a proven liar and the overwhelming majority think is guilty.

Looks like the monkeys are all out enjoying the beautiful weather. What a gorgeous weekend we had here. I will stop back later, to see if any more monkeys swing into the cage!

O/T

Since not a lot of posting is going on at the moment, I want to brag on my hubby to someone. I've been sick all day, and in addition to looking after me, he has worked his fingers to the bone. He mowed the lawn (and we have a big lawn), cleaned out the fridge, did the grocery shopping, cooked dinner, did the dishes, took out the trash for pickup tomorrow (at the end of a 1,000 foot driveway), and did countless small jobs I can't remember right now. Every time I told him he was working too hard, he kept saying, "You're ill - just rest."

Him is a sweetie pie.  Very Happy

Him is a sweetie pie... you think we could clone him?

We all need someone just like him.  But there is no

doubt in my mind that the kindness that he shows you,

is a reflection of the kindness you show him, as well.

You are a lucky lady!!!

 Wink

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

When news in the case was more frequent than it has been lately, I would want to stay up at night and talk to the monkeys. However, I have a habit of sitting on the bed with my laptop, so I would always sign off when hubby got sleepy. Whenever I saw hubby going to brush his teeth (which is a sign he's ready for bed), I would always say, "I have to go - hubby is brushing his teeth now."

Some monkeys began to speculate on whether hubby's toothbrush was actually code for something more exciting.  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
