ValHall of The Hinky Meter has done a marvelous job outlining the breakdown of Dr. Furton’s “hypocracies” as she calls them.  What I take issue with, in addition, is the fact that Dr. Furton, in my opinion, was less than forthcoming about when he was contacted by the defense, or when HE contacted the defense with additional discovery for his anticipated testimony.  He refers to an additional dissertation that was conducted by his student, after his deposition on February 19, 2011 and prior to mid-March.  I was forced to watch this multiple times, you cannot make me write about it in detail, now as well.

In summary: Dr. Furton screwed the pooch here.

The reality is, available research grants would probably do better to train their applicants to cage-fight for cash they are so fiercely competitive. Simply put, Furton wants a bigger allowance than Vass based on work preformed by his students, WHICH BY THE WAY feature Dr. Vass’s peer reviewed articles Furton is trying to debunk in the first place.  Good Luck with that Fredo.

Jurors will do one of two things, they will either understand and except the Scientific deficits in the area Furton posesses, or they will see him as an opportunist.

He didn't say why. I think a plea deal is goin down.

I work in graphic design.  The pic does look to be stretched vertically approximately 5-10%.  It's a trick I commonly use to make people look thinner.   

Hey it's what "I" do to make me look thinner - problem is I'm 5'0" and I don't think people would believe at 41 I had such a huge growth spurt - to 6' 

That's why you have to be super careful when you stretch pics.  Sometimes I can only stretch 3-4% because it's too easy to see.  Whomever did Caylee's pic is amateur work at best.

all jokes aside I TOTALLY agree with you!  Do you think the entire picture has been stretched?  portions stretched then cropped? even parts of caylee stretched leaving others intact? The left shoe (her right) looks a little "off" to me

The Judge has ordered the closed door hearings "SEALED". Not related to discovery issue that just occurred but a "legal issue"...which could be anything.Mason approached the bench and then they went behind closed doors.

2. Dr Furton’s field of expertise is forensic chemistry.
3. If Dr Furton were called to testify the subject matter that he would render opinions on are forensic chemistry.
4. If Dr Furton were called to testify, the substance of facts that he would testify to would relate to the cadaver dog “alerts.” And those opinions rendered by the Oakridge laboratories.
5. The substance of Dr Furton’s testimony would if the were called to testify to are that the cadaver dog is a tool, not a witness. He will be able to testify about the procedures and limitations of cadaver dogs, as well as the odors of decomposition and the limitations in sound scientific principles currently used in decompositional odors.

Blonde - I think the photo to the left has been stretched and it makes Caylee look taller and thinner.

If the photo is stretched then the perspective is still the same.  Her hand on the handle is still in the same place.  In other words, if she is taller then the handle is higher also.  Not much point in stretching it.  The only other way would be to overlay just the stretched image of the child and that would be detected immediately.  JMO

I dont think the State would agree to offer one unless it was as significant as LWOP, JMO.   All CJBP said was that it was another issue other than wehat they argued about in opening court, we dont know if it is separate of Dr. Furton or something entirely different but it began when Mason went to sidebar.

About an hour earlier, attorneys got in a courtroom spat over the testimony of a defense expert witness.

Perry said the recess was not related to the issue with the expert.

Testimony will resume 8:30 a.m. Monday, Perry said.

I don't think it is a plea deal....she will NEVER take full responsibility for Caylees demise and I cannot see the state agreeing to anything less at this point...but that's just my opinion...
