Your recollection is right on.

Considering the prosecutor asked Dominic outright if it was Cindy or George who directed him to the woods one month prior to the discovery of Caylee's remains and ... Dominic responded in the negative ... it is my contention that it was Baez.

Think about it.  The prosecutor asked Dominic if he kept in contact with Baez after leaving the defence team and going to work for the Anthonys.  Dominic responded in the affirmative.

Since taking on Casey Anthony's defense, Jose Baez has been targeted by several Florida Bar inquiries:

In September 2009, the Bar cleared Baez of an ethical complaint accusing him of getting paid inappropriately in the case.

In September 2009, the Bar cleared Baez of ethics allegations made by private investigator Dominic Casey, who claimed he was never paid by Baez. He also said the attorney told him to walk away from Caylee's remains if he ever found them and contact Baez. Both complaints were dismissed based on insufficient evidence.

Judge Stan Strickland, the original judge assigned to the case, penned a letter to the Bar related to the Dominic Casey incident, also resulting in no formal action against Baez. In the letter, Strickland wrote of the allegations, "If truthful, they are extremely troubling."

Anthonys Familys' P.I. Deposition Postponed

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Anthony family's private investigator will have to answer questions under oath in the case against Casey Anthony, but he'll get more time to prepare.

Private Investigator Dominic Casey was set to be deposed on Thursday, but it's been pushed back until December 16. Dominic Casey filed a motion (read) on October 21, to stop his November deposition.

Dominic has been trying to get out of the deposition. He says because he once worked for Casey’s defense team, he shouldn't have to answer any questions.

Dominic Casey was videotaped in the woods near the Anthony family home in November, one month before Caylee Anthony’s remains were found there on December 11.

Okay...would the prosecution then, in the rebuttal case, try to get the information in that Dominic has stated that Baez asked him that if he found the body to walk away and contact Baez first?  And...in this light...would that be a reason why Dominic didn't want Hoover filming the search - because if he did find the body - he was supposed to contact Baez first and he certainly wouldn't want that on tape?

Yeah, and I think he was being overly flattering to himself by using a whole finger!

The vegetation is really a moot point. The vegetation could have been from any site. The vegetation claim alone does not stand as proof the remains were originally in that spot.

So, what do you think they did....transplant all that "overgrown" vegetation into that spot.

Hmmm....that spot was cleared to bare earth and now, 3 years later.....3 years....the vegetation has not become overgrown...we know that because several reporters have been there recently to show us the location.  Yes, vegetation is growing back, but 3 years later it's not over-grown.

So, IMO, to have put that much vegetation in that area, to be that over-grown, it would have taken an army of minions to put those plants in the ground...not to mention the second army it would take to weave those "very fine" roots through the bones and the hair mass on the ground. 

Bock testified that the vegetation on Casey's car did not match the vegetation found in Caylee's remains. She testified that the vegetation could have taken place in a two week period, but she also said it could have been there 6 months.

And I disagree with Joe, although it`s not in the indictment, the state has a theory of how this murder happened. And that theory is the chloroform and the duct tape over the mouth. They`ve already attacked the chloroform all week with the forensics. Then they showed Dr. Spitz. Dr. Spitz came up, world-renowned medical examiner: couldn`t be the duct tape. It couldn`t have been there until after the death, because the skin would have fallen away and all of that, and there was no adhesion. We see about all the water. There would have been no adhesion for that duct tape.

And now today, we see for sure that body was moved. That body was not in the woods...

I need some monkey help!  This morning I managed to read the first 33 pages of this thread but then I had to leave.  Looks like I missed all the fireworks.  I saw all your comments on how happy Casey looked and then later this afternoon I saw the footage.  I can't believe how giddy she was!  WTH?  It was like they promised her a pizza party and a stripper pole in her cell. 

1) So it was the competency thing, right?  What was it that she thought was going to happen?  That she'd walk?

2) Also, if she's been deemed competent to stand trial, she probably won't take the stand then?  Cuz I'm thinking that if they had deemed her INcompetent, then she could testify and later say that she can't be held accountable for her testimony.  Yes?

I'd love it if a kind monkey can tell me, in a nutshell, why she was so freaking happy.  As for her incompetency ploy, all I have to say is HAHAHAHAHAHA Casey, you darn twit...did you really think that was gonna fly?

Way behind ....do u all think that Casey was in such a good mood this morning thinking that she has convinced the mental health examiners that she was nuts, which she is,  but then her mood changed drastically once she found it out that the docs and the court found her competent?  She was noticeably different the rest of the day IMO

That is exactly what happened -- she THINKS she is smarter than everyone else and wants to take the stand! Her defense thinks she is nuts and are trying to prevent it.

Plus Bobo's opening statement was so outrageous.. it was ego driven for the shock and attention.. certainly not in his clients best interests...it was shocking alright.. but no awe
