This young man was my neighbor in the neighborhood I grew up in. When I say neighbor, I mean literally next door. Fine young man from a fine family who was devastated by a man who killed their son.

Please help the family of Rex Copeland by writing/e-mailing the Alabama Parole Board.

I have listed below who to write the letter to and the necessary information to include on EVERY correspondence with the Parole Board about this hearing.  Just be sure to specifically include that you are requesting denial of parole for William L. Slagle, AIS 161828 for the intentional murder of Rex Copeland.

So let me get this straight.  Joran wrote a book (well, sort of....someone else wrote it for him), Sweaty Pop is writing one too and now that fashion-plate Anita is writing one too!  I can hardly wait.  I've been dying to know where she shops!  And I want the name of her trainer!  She is doing great to be able to get her big foot that far off the ground without toppling over(see kicking photo....good for a chuckle every time).

Joran is tired of the case.  Boo freakin' hoo.  I wish he had never drawn breath too but if wishes were horses.........  He lost his first girl friend over in Holland because he couldn't tell the truth?  Too bad.  Doesn't she have TV?  Did she not recognize Goonboy from the news?  Maybe she did.  Maybe she saw the handwriting on the wall.... and ran screaming!

ORANJESTAD/AMSTERDAM – In the book ‘The Case of Natalee Holloway’ that was published today in the Netherlands , Joran van der Sloot admits that he has probably committed the biggest mistake of his life by leaving the American girl on the beach by herself.    

He has also lied about that night on the beach to the police and realizes that due to his falsehood, he has lost his credibility.  He knows that he is still the main suspect in the case and understood that the OM in Aruba will soon, maybe next month already decide whether they will proceed to prosecution.  Neither the Dutch- and Aruban police, nor the FBI has found a clue on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.  There is still an active team of Dutch police on the island.   The book has 351 pages and is written by and for journalist Zvezdana Vukojevic, who works for Nieuwe Revu.  She has spent some time in Aruba with Joran van der Sloot to visit all the locations that are of importance.  Joran van der Sloot told her about his life before he met Natalee, his time in prison and the police interrogations.

Two years ago, well into the night on May 30th, the then 18-year old American Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba after having been on the beach with the then 17-year old Joran van der Sloot.  At first he told the police that he had dropped Natalee off at her hotel, while actually, he had left her behind on the beach.  This lie caused him to spend three months behind bars.    

MAKING LOVE  

In the book, he tells about Natalee’s drinking behaviour and gives details about them making love on the beach, which lasted for three hours.  He, together with his friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe met Natalee and the other American students with whom Natalee was visiting the island, in the Excelsior Casino of the Holiday Inn-hotel.  Natalee wanted to go with the boys.  And even though he had an exam the next day, he had himself and Natalee dropped off at the beach.  “She wanted more, but I had no condoms with me.  She then fell asleep.”  He admits that he didn’t even know her name and had preferred making love to her friend Ruth, who was much prettier.    

EXCUSES  

Van der Sloot also mentioned possibilities that have not been investigated yet, like a declaration about Natalee’s stepfather and the unknown male DNA found on Natalee’s toothbrush.  He talked straightforwardly about his own behaviour and apologizes to the parents of Natalee for his lying declarations.  Especially during the first days of his detention, he lied about almost everything.  He also admits that he has made mistakes.  He says that he will have to learn to live with the mistake he made by leaving Natalee alone on the beach for the rest of his life.  He has trouble with that.  

TRUTH

At the Publisher’s Luitingh-Sijthoff in Amsterdam yesterday, he told many journalists before the camera that with the book, he wants to give his view on the Holloway-case, because after all the publicity this case has produced, it looks like everybody knows everything but the truth about Joran and Natalee.  Zvezdana Vukojevic wrote the book based on interviews with Joran van der Sloot.  She also used notes in Joran’s diary and she was allowed access to the police files.  In July of last year, Sijthoff received via literary agent Paul Sebes the exclusive Dutch rights for the book.

This author for Joran has been given access to the police files and yet the family has not??????????  Wassup with that?  Did Larry Garrison get access to them because he was helping Dave Holloway write a book if that is the excuse?

Well, then, Monkeys, let's write a book because evidently that grants one access to the police files.  Surely not even Aruba would be so crass as to make that a one-sided deal, unless, of course they are fully willing to admit that they are co-defense team for the suspects.

The position of the State is prosecutorial otherwise there would never be the successful conviction in any cases.

Why was this person granted access to the police files and yet Beth and Dave must wait until the case is closed if ever they see them?

Why can't we have an answer from Aruba on that right now?  I guess it would be a question we might pose to Peter de Witt but I think Peter de Vries might be more likely to get an answer.  

Access for one should mean access for all, unless, as I said, ALE readily admits the position of co-defense which has been the main problem all along.

Actuaually here in the USA once you have been arrested, you have the right to read all that has been said about you.  I don't know about getting all the paperwork, but,....thats what I have seen here.  and NO I dont think its right at all, especially if the person was NOT cleared of any wrong doing.
