I'm scratchin my head... this is the DEFENSE part of the trial... right??
The defense is doing an awesome job of prosecuting this case!

I give credit to Mumbles for trying.. but I think he's totally going down the wrong path IMO.

on InSession they're talking about it.. the one lady suggesting she still thinks it's odd that nobody else found the remains at the time of Kronk's earlier calls..   However, as Jean kasaris pointed out, what he described to the dispatcher was pretty much what was found- the bags, blanket, etc.. meaning, Caylee was out there at that time, in August.  If she wasn't there, why would he call on the chances that an officer would really show up and find the body?  is it his fault that they didn't show up?

Attacking Roy Kronk will be the cornerstone of the defense's case. His story is a truthful one. They will attack him every which way possible. I think he will survive. I gave him 5k because I believe he found Caylee honestly. Still do.
Someone should give him another 5,000.00 today!

No kidding! He deserves it; except the DT would get it on appeal that someone paid him for his testimony. So, let's not. Sadly.

OMG, one of the female talking head on In Session said that if Kronk had gone back into the woods to see the bag after seeing the large rattlesnake he would have been nominated for a Darwin Award!

Bill Schaefer said a few minutes ago that the 9-1-1 calls helped KRONK tremendously.

I think the Prosecution might have stopped this badgering the witness had he not been doing so well.  Makes Mason look terrible.

Agree....prosecution let Mason go on and on because Kronk was alert and didn't let Mason trip him up...letting the defense turn Kronk into a State's witness.

Regarding the reward?  Did Roy Kronk received the reward or ... was the reward designated to the locating of a "live" Caylee Marie?

Janet

Janet, the reward was for a live Caylee. Mr.Nejame gave him the reward because he believed him...and as stated, still does....as do I..

So far, that HUGE piece of the defense's story that relies on Kronk stealing Caylee's body, keeping it for months, applying duct tape to the skull and then dumping it in the swamp for a bunch of money, is melting before their eyes. This guy just does not fit the bill. Had they accused Hoover of it, it would have been more believable.

as laughable as it was the first time we heard it, you would at least think they had something, anything to make it somewhat less laughable.  so far the defense stories have been as fantastical as what the lies casey told everyone else.  yet the entire defense is like a crazy dream with implausible scenarios.

That's a very good way to put it cheeky.

The Defense's Opening Statement was so like one of Casey's fantastical tales.

The defense should take notes.  Whomever prepared Kronk did a FANTASTIC job!
Kronk has a real atty.  The defense doesn't recognize what that looks like.  lol

Plus he is telling the truth.  Easy to keep your story straight if you are not trying to sort out what lie you told.

ALL the jurors will be out there for this "special" break.

The regular smokers will probably go ahead and eat one before they light one up!

His question is so frustrating. I feel like I've listened to Nell for the past couple hours and I'm still like WTF?

I am sooo proud of Kronk!  He is my new hero and Caylee's too!

The strangers in this case have been heroes! It's so sad that her family hasn't always been.

Mark NeJame gave him $5,000 and says that Leonard Padillo said he would give him $5,000, too, and that Leonard needs to go ahead and pay Kronk now.

Well, wow. That fits in with what I've always suspected about Lee. Throw rocks, but I always thought that Lee was the least dysfunctional person in a very dysfunctional family. It would also explain why they left him out when KC became pregnant. He was too rational to be totally enthusiastic that his unmarried, living at home, sister was going to have a baby. She didn't even have a named Father for the child. When there's a group decision to pursue dysfunction, being the one in a family that isn't quite as sick, can be a lonely place.

When that family needed real rational thought, there's a pattern of them going to Lee. When Cindy couldn't find KC, she sent Lee to search the bars. When Cindy finally had KC in the car, George called Lee to meet them at the house. During the jailhouse videos, Lee's visit, which was totally about "I'm doing these things to look for Caylee" is rational, while Cindy's and George's visits were littered with "Sweetheart" and pandering.

Lee moved out shortly after Caylee was born. I believe he struggled with fully giving himself over to Caylee, at least for a while, and feels very guilty about that. I believe that at some point, either in life or after she went missing, he, remorsefully made a promise to Caylee that he would be the best Uncle in the world, and that's the promise he referred to during the memorial.

I know, I know, but that's what I believe. Let me also say, that having that spot in a family means that you will also, at times, be dysfunctional.
Amen to ALL of this!  Great post!
