I don't think this would have been a DP case had not all that duct tape evidence come out.  Betcha Casey is getting really scared now.  Good.  She gets to know a little of what Caylee felt.

But LWOPP is probably what will happen.  Just my opinion.  I'm OK with either one, however.

LWOP in gen pop is far more favorable to a DP sentence. Appeals in this wacko case will last longer than casey's natural life.

Baez gets a big FAIL.  He did NOT connect any of the dots from his opening statement.  He did not even come close to proving that anyone but Casey hid and disposed (hard to type that) of Caylee's little body.  How did her body get from point A to point B without Casey being involved.  He did NOT disprove the human decomp smell coming from the trunk of Casey's car.

He did a pitiful job.

I don't know whose idea it was to put on the defense that they did, but they should have just tried to poke holes in the State's case. Very foolish move to do what they did.  With that said......I'm glad it went down the way it did, as I feel quite confident there will be a guilty verdict.

There is still that one juror woman who said she couldn't judge people due to her religious beliefs.

I hope that the other jurors will assist her into being able to judge the evidence.

I know!  And in all honesty ... I think the duct tape was put on after death to stop the decomp fluids.  I think death was either chloroformed and trunk babysitter ... or just trunk babysitter.  Whichever - in my mind - it was still murder!  You don't use a trunk as a nanny.

I'll be happy with LWOP ... but extra happy with DP.  Either way, this witch is gonna bleed the taxpayers of FL dry with appeals and daily expenses.  And she gets to live several more years (DP or not) which Caylee didn't get.

Hi monkeys, sorry about the post I lost, like I said, it didn't make a lot of sense anyway.  I could barely understand a word that Dr Sally was saying.  My hubby said that he has worked with a lot of people like that, they can talk and talk and never say a word.  This case has been brutal on a lot of people and monkeys are no exception, it felt good to find something to laugh about.

I am very confused about rebuttal, there isn't going to be days of it, only hours?  That doesn't seem fair, they have so much to rebut.  Most of the defense was magical thinking.  There was no reason for KC to start crying when she did, she had been told to.  No one but KC had a thing to do with the death of Caylee and no one had her body but KC.  This was a very good day for Caylee and I am very hopeful for justice.

Prosecution told the judge the other day that they wanted 2 days for the rebuttal.

It will go quickly.

Witnesses will be brought in to rebutt or impeach testimony in the direct case - so it will be "pinpointed" testimony.

Example...IT guy from Gentiva - will tell us whether or not Cindy was signed in on her computer the day Cindy says she took some hours off and his will talk about Cindy's timesheets.  Linda must be going to impeach Cindy's testimony, otherwise this guy wouldn't be coming in.

Once the jury comes back with their decision on GUILT, then they will move to the PENALTY phase

Klaas would the jury again deliberate about this or would they have already discussed this?

I'm not an expert, but I believe if the one juror is a holdout it's a hung jury.

So if a witness is impeached....does that mean all of their testimony or just certain parts?  Say if Cindy is impeached, does that mean the 911 call does not count during deliberation?

Not on those grounds alone, that would hang the jury.  Now if they walk in right after instruction & they verbally refuse to deliberate (in other words walk in the room & state Im voting this way and I dont care what you all talk about) that can be raised as an issue because they are not even attempting to deliberate as instructed.
