Prob not allowed.  he wants to answer aabout teh sexual abuse claim and they won't allow him. 
I think Ashton refused to talk to George privately at this point because George is a Defense witness.  Ashton is acting prudently, so that he can't be accused of witness tampering or some other impropriety by Baez (who is obviously gunning for him).  Good job, Jeff!  Baez hates Ashton because he's jealous of Ashton.  He knows Jeff is a much better lawyer and didn't lie, cheat or steal his way to get there. It's called a God-given analytical talent + a good work ethic; neither of which Baez has. All MOO
