AH!  So this appears that they aren't done yet! GOOD.
They need to dig up that concrete by the pool.

I was wondering when they would resume following today....do they work on weekends?  Next Monday & Tuesday are Aruban holidays....  

Good Question. I've been wondering the same thing. Seems that if they are serious about this search, they'll work through the weekend. But then, Janssen took a vacation in the middle of the investigation, so who knows????

Now might be the time to introduce that time-and-a-half overtime rule if it doesn't already exist on Aruba.

Dutch investigators search yard of one-time Holloway suspect

ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Dutch police who traveled to Aruba to investigate the disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway searched the yard of a one-time suspect Friday, the Aruban prosecutors' office said.

Using thin metal rods and shovels, police and forensic investigators churned up the earth outside the home of Joran van der Sloot, the last person known to have seen Holloway alive before she vanished in May 2005 during a school vacation on the Dutch Caribbean island.

"The investigation has never stopped and the Dutch authorities are completely reviewing the case for new indications," Vivian van der Biezen, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office, told reporters gathered outside the home.

She said roughly 20 investigators arrived from Holland on June 16 (must mean Apr 16), but that she could not say why they were searching the property. She did not know how long they planned to stay.

The prosecutors' office said in a statement that, "the team has indications that justify a more thorough search." It did not provide further details.

Wouldn't they need another search warrant to do the search.  If so when was the warrant issued and I wonder who the judge was.  I have my doubts that Paulus did not know about this search.

If for good, why the jackhammer and tents?

I can understand that alotta people are not sure what is going to happen in this case, trust me I'm the world's biggest cynic, but we have been begging, literally begging anyone who would listen, for almost two years for them to do something - anything and now they are...I think we should give them one final chance to get it right.

If they dont, there will be plenty of time to talk about all the stuff they did wrong. I for one am happy about the new developments and I hope that Beth, Dave and Matt get the answers they seek.

It's just so very hard to trust them due to their past history.

Update: Contrary to some media reports the investigation never stopped. The judge of instructions lead the search today. Extra specialists from the Netherlands came to help out their colleagues already in Aruba in this part of the revision of the case.

Paul v/d Sloot when he came to the house find it that he did not want to be part of the circus again and left the team to do the searches they wanted.

The search is part of the investigation in the case of Natalee Holloway. It was a thorough search again of the house and property based on documentations and statements (6.000 pages dossier) that prompted this search.

 After gettin calls at work.. I so did not want to be there.
I talked to a family member today as well.. she is away.. and asked if I would keep her posted of any news. I left her a voice mail last night about the case remaning open.. and her not long after Rob called me.. she returned my call.. passed along that info to her. After I spoke to her.. I had to go in the backroom.. I blubbered.. lol
