I'm curious if they gave Joran that apt because he and his brother couldn't get along. Didn't I read he's lived in that apt since he was 15? Wonder what it was before it was Joran's apt?

I'm beginning to sound like Andy Rooney.

Could have been a villa for visitors (wasn't there talk of that was where the visiting judges stayed when in Aruba) or a sort of summerhouse for the pool.

It's pretty grubby inside for adults, at least what I saw from those photos of the Sporter with the two girls licking his pimples looked very primitive.  Like just painted concrete.  Sort of pads on a cot instead of real bed, etc.  OK for teen boy but not very nice at all.  Almost like camping out.

Well the teenage boy could have made it grubby?

We were told early in this that the neighbor "lawyered up". Why would that be if all he/she did was say to turn down the radio?

Could someone be in a tree and photographing what was happening into the window of Joran's apt or climb up there to see what all the screaming/noise was about?

Joran's apt. looks, to me, as if it was once a garage. The sleeping qts don't look large to me, more like a master BR. Perhaps the brothers sleep in the building labeled "eating" and/or there's a guest BR there. Of course, can't forget the kitchen. Anita is an artist and probably has a room for that, too. Teachers have lots of "stuff".

Some Europeans like to have adult sleeping areas away from the children's area.

I was always interested in the overhead shot that Klaas had of the compound... I think the side road goes to the main road that leads to the hotels, pond and the beach. It's been awhile since I remember the overhead shots.

Thanks for the info where Dutchlady posted. I went to the FP right away to find the post and should have stayed with this thread for you told me the answer. Could have saved an hour

No, not really.  Sleeping on that tiny army cot looking bed makes my back hurt just thinking about it, too.

Did Robots ever return from his second forray into the night to vaunt fencing and maneuver around in the dark?  He said if he did not we should be very afraid.  

That prolly means he went to bed, lol!

IBE - I think it was the Kalpoe neighbor that lawyered up.  She's the one who saw them washing their car in the early morning hours.

What if they put Nat's body in the sea? What would be the most likely thing they could find at this date?

A souvinir kept by Joran? Blood stains? I want to hear they ripped up carpet to look at the concrete underneath, luminoled the matresses, re-looked at Deepak's car interior and luminoled that.........
I want those bones tested, the belt compared to the pic and DNA tested.

It's hard to believe that in this entire time, she's been buried under their noses. There was a point where the VDS's seemed to get really confident. I've always felt that was when they became sure she was really gone. PVDS from day one understood clearly, "No body, No case".

Can anyone think of anything else?

She either died in the back yard or in the vanderSloot house because these are the places that were denied in the original search.  When Beth and Greta walked up where Paulus was "gardening" in that god-forsaken ugly desert piece of land surrounded by concrete, he was under a bush.  This bush is of interest in taht he was there, and he was sweating.  He may have been digging a big deep hole the reason he was sweating, or he may have been carrying the dead weigth of a teenage girl or a teenage girl in a package and/or weights to tie her down so they could put her in the ocean.  He was not sweating from the humidity.  It appeared he had physically been working at the direction of see-thru blouse who was calling the shots once she returned from the Netherlands.

I think that Joran was carrying an unconcious Natalee, and dropped her on her head.  They didn't know right away that it seriously injured her, and they didn't seek treatment and she died from the combo of head injury and being drugged.

Why was he carrying her?  Why did they not seek treatment?  Either he had beaten her to a pulp or she was dead are the only reasons he would be carrying her --- in order to get rid of her.  Why would she have a head injury if he did not kick her or she fell and injured herself fighting him.  An unconscious person is not going to cause a head injury to themselves.  He never carried her and dropped her on her head.  That big beast beat her to a pulp.  You give him too much credit.  This is an animal beyond rabid.  This is a wild beast with rabies -- this big goon Joran.

jvds will REMAIN a "suspect"

The numerous comments and news reports on the current search, most of which ignores central judicial ruling from the Netherlands.

jvds current status as "SUSPECT" in disappearance of Natalee has been "EXTENDED INDEFINITELY".

This critical ruling is devastating to sloot case and ongoing proclamations of current activity as "routine".  Further puts the lie to Tacopina bleating re: how current search could actually "exonerate" jvds.

The ruling in the Netherlands, compelling Aruba courts to extend sloot suspect status "INDEFINIETLY" is a table-setting event for the searches underway now.  What this suggests, is that regardless of search outcome in terms of immediate term findings, sloot will remain on the hook for the disappearance.

The events are linked together.  Any material removed from the searches will be thoroughly examined in forensic settings, regardless of artificial deadlines.  Comfortably allowing needed time for proper review of FACTS.

The Netherlands courts tee'd this one up nicely, very much in favor of the HT Family interests.

Regardless of the "LONGER TERM" outcome of the searches now underway, jvds will remain a suspect: there is no deadline.  The May 30, 2007 two year statute of limitations has been voided.  Most likely for cause, and some new evidence.

Let's all recognize the linkage of the ruling and the search: they are intertwined.  And ignore uneducated news reporters (and sloot family lawyers) who continue to mouth the two year deadline looms.

It doesn't -- a superior court in the Netherlands has compelled an Aruban court to rule as described.

The goon will be a suspect -- even after this search is done, and even after May 30, 2007.
