Tamikosmom,

I have lost your post at the moment but agree completely with your assessment of the handling of giving Paulus a commendation of good conduct while holding that wiretap information.  I meant to comment on that when you posted and things are moving too fast for me.

OK, so the Sloot supporters contend that is NOT Paulus in the casino video.  That makes it much worse that he may have had contact later.  THey would have been far better off insisting that it was him.  If it wasn't then his contact was in private and later and therefore highly suspect.

How on earth that qualifies for a good conduct report I cannot imagine for his lying alone should have stopped that.

But she just caved and gave it to him so he could become an attorney.

The reason we don't understand their system is that they don't have one.  They are a nation of people and influence and not laws.  We are accustomed to a nation of laws that apply to all.  Theirs are like jello and conform to whatever they want them to.

They are more like a big tribe than a legitimate nation with a government

,

I say if that's not Paulus on that casino video, he's got bigger problems than we realize... he is alleged to have has two 'contact's with Natalee.... he better hope that is contact one.

if that is not contact 'one', he's looking more likely to have had a sexual assault upon Natalee..
better be careful what you wish for.

if he only had one more other contact with Natalee, it could be alleged that he only helped in an accessory role.

Items produced in Discovery are not public record.  But once they are introduced into evidence in a trial, they become public record.

At that point we could get access to them or shortly thereafter.

And we just happen to have a Major Monkey close by enough to go to the courthouse and get them, too.

Any of that stuff that is introduced in court is then open to the public unless the judge places a gag order on it.

Not to mention any documents that can be obtained online.  Yes, I will go to the courthouse if necessary.  It's only about an hours drive  Wink

That's why we get different answers from different people about things like the 2 year question or evidence being leaked.  I don't think they understand their system.  They don't have much use for it.

Anna you are so right, it is a large tribe with no semblance of a civilized and orderly government. How much crime is driven by the chollar/addicts alone? Any responsible government would eliminate the drugs driving that and go to great lengths to do so, unless of course they benefit fiscally from it.

I think the Dr Phil discovery is going to become pivotal in this case and now perhaps we all will understand better why Beth has said May is a big event. I'm so glad we have supermonkey Klaas ready to roll with it too - hurrah !

We know furniture was replaced at the Sloots.  Many in warm climates have tile, not carpet.  Do we know if the Sloots had any carpeting?  I'm thinking there could be residue of blood in tile.   Anna said bleach will destory DNA, so this might not help.

National Enquirer - please take with a grain of salt:
http://www.nationalenquirer.com/crime/63397

COPS SEARCH JORAN'S HOME, DIG UP EVIDENCE

Dutch detectives launching a new investigation into the murder of Natalee Holloway believed they would finally find her body when they swooped without warning on the home of the prime suspect, The ENQUIRER has learned.

Tellingly, the massive two-day police operation at the Aruban home of Joran van der Sloot included diggers and cadaver dogs trained to sniff out human remains.

With the second anniversary of Natalee's disappearance looming, the dramatic search ended after 14 hours with cops carting away boxes of evidence - and still pursuing their grim goal.

"The Dutch police team is confident they will find Natalee's remains soon," a source close to the investigation told The ENQUIRER.

Natalee vanished on May 30, 2005 - the last night of a graduation trip for her class from Mountain Brook High School in Alabama - after leaving a bar with 18-year-old Joran and two of his pals.

If Paulus picked them up, I'd bet that was the third time he saw her.   Mad I do think they were at the vds house, although I'm not as convinced as some that he played a part in her demise.  No doubt he's orchestrated as much of the coverup as he could.

Interesting to note that part of Phil's Discovery asks for information about attorneys fees and documents relating to it.  I'm particularly interested in this, especially after Joey had to control himself when O'Reilly told him that he knew who was paying him to represent the Sloots.  Follow the money.

Anna ... we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I contend that Dutch law is not the problems ... it is the uttler disregard in the Natalee Holloway case for the provisions of Dutch law that apply to a criminal investigation.  The conflict of interest issue is one aspect .  This investigation is riddled with conflicts of interest and ... if Dutch law was adhered to ... an independent ... outside .... international investigation would have been where it was at from day one.

Then there are the provisions dealing with interrogation ... search warrants ... time frame for bringing witnesses in for questioning ... handling and collecting of potential evidence ... releasing suspects from further questioning ....

Anna ... as Jug Twitty put it as only Jug Twitty could ... "It is like they did not want to find the truth."

PVDS originally told you the first night you met him that he picked Joran up at 4:00 a.m., but he later gave a statement that he picked Joran up at 11:00 p.m. Do you know if there are security cameras in the McDonald's parking lot to prove this claim?"

BETH: On June 5, we asked officials to check to see if there were security cameras, and to this day, nothing has ever been done. No one has looked into it.

Easy hadn't seen the blurb from Fox about the investigation at the VDS residence being completed. I emailed it to him and he said he would check with Jossy to see if he has any information.

Excellent visualization!

We must continue to send positive vibes to the forensic unit.  I am feeling better and think I need to give them more time and not let myself get on the Roller Coaster of emotion that happens from time to time with this.

Like when I see the Grandmother hurt.  Oh, how I loved my own and hate to see a lady in her late years have to do through this!  There are some things a person should not have to bear at that age and this is one of them.  Breaking a heart that old is just unconscionable.

But they know things they are not telling right now, but just might later on.  Well, not Paulus because too many people would be hurt.  How about the ones already hurt?  They are American and so don't count, have no feelings and he must protect those whom he deems more important.  We shall see.

Should remains be found, I think the fam would be notified first, before the press.  If we hear of one of them going to Aruba that might mean something.

I guess Tim is going to search for the crab trap.  Deep water is very cold almost like a freezer so I am also hopeful about that but let's hope even better that something is found to make his search even unnecessary.
