I have lost your post at the moment but agree completely with your assessment of the handling of giving Paulus a commendation of good conduct while holding that wiretap information.  I meant to comment on that when you posted and things are moving too fast for me.

OK, so the Sloot supporters contend that is NOT Paulus in the casino video.  That makes it much worse that he may have had contact later.  THey would have been far better off insisting that it was him.  If it wasn't then his contact was in private and later and therefore highly suspect.

How on earth that qualifies for a good conduct report I cannot imagine for his lying alone should have stopped that.

But she just caved and gave it to him so he could become an attorney.

The reason we don't understand their system is that they don't have one.  They are a nation of people and influence and not laws.  We are accustomed to a nation of laws that apply to all.  Theirs are like jello and conform to whatever they want them to.

They are more like a big tribe than a legitimate nation with a government

I contend that Dutch law is not the problems ... it is the uttler disregard in the Natalee Holloway case for the provisions of Dutch law that apply to a criminal investigation.  The conflict of interest issue is one aspect .  This investigation is riddled with conflicts of interest and ... if Dutch law was adhered to ... an independent ... outside .... international investigation would have been where it was at from day one.

Then there are the provisions dealing with interrogation ... search warrants ... time frame for bringing witnesses in for questioning ... handling and collecting of potential evidence ... releasing suspects from further questioning ....

BETH: On June 5, we asked officials to check to see if there were security cameras, and to this day, nothing has ever been done. No one has looked into it.

No, I am in complete agreement with you but must have just said it wrong.

It is not the Dutch law that is the problem but the way in which Aruba applies it and creates its own "policies" to suit the occasion.

If a law doesn't suit what their agenda is, they just ignore it or change it.  Example is the law on a person who disappears being considered to have been kidnapped.  Another is an adult who disappears without money or transportation, etc. qualifies as an emergency and yet they told Dave to go to a bar and she would show up.

I just must not have expressed myself well.

I think it's a problem on your end.  You may need to delete your cookies, could be something as simple as that.

Could be an ISP problem too.  I can get into both BFN and the NE site with no problems.

Yet they sent me the email so how did they do that if I am not registered.  I emailed for help so we shall see.  Don't understand if I don't exist in the member list how I got an email from them.

Intentionally false witness testimony is a crime: Perjury.  It is against the law to "intentionally" lie as a witness (different than "suspect").  

Perjury, perjury leading to false arrest and imprisonment, obstruction of justice, contempt of court.

Yep, this whole case is just one big mystery, isn't it?  Sure seems that way when even the obvious secondary crimes are ignored.  Secondary crimes for which there is actual evidence: the PV's -- the 5/31/05 Kalpoe witness statements themselves -- are EVIDENCE of perjury.
