Who thinks that the state will press charges against Cindy for perjury?  I'm afraid that they will think that she's suffered enough and let it go.

That would be a mistake.

If Cindy is given a pass in regards to perjury ... in regards to attempting to obstruct the investigative process ... then a precident has been established that emplies that all mothers of defendents can do likewise.

Sound something akin to the Aruban justice syste.

I think Cindy doesn't think they will charge her with perjury because she is the grandmother of victim. It should be interesting what happens. Good way to end rebuttal defense...sustained!

What..that makes no sense and if I were a juror I would be very angry.  Sunday is their only day for family and friends to visit.

The jury should atleast have Sunday with their families..

Im pretty sure CJBP will make arrangements for them.   In fairness, the closings have to be finalized by both sides

Then I think they should have done their closings July 4th.  The Jury has to be there anyway..and Sunday is their day.

I really think that shows great disrespect for the jury.  They have been without their family and friends and children for all this time.  They are going to miss another family holiday..all for this murderess.  I dare say some of these people's relationships will not be intact when this is over. That is very typical of these high profile trials. This is a long time for couples to be separated and unable to communicate well with each other.    There will be relationships of the jury members that will take a hit due to the length of this trial..that's an unfortunate given.  The lady who needed to be done by July 4th because she was going to abroad and the house was already rented is a perfect example..I am sure her family is not happy with this...and I bet they go without her.

I bet after JP filed orders for closing statements, the DT requested a day because they have to completely re-write theirs...in oreder to comply, not that they have ever worried about complying with court orders

I think that it is once again the defense holding this up..and for the reason you said Samarie.  I think JP should have said then fine..be here at 8:30 AM on July 4th because I am not messing with my jury's family time.  I doubt all the jurors families will be able to visit now tomorrow at the drop of a hat on a holiday weekend.  Many of them have children, etc..I like JP..I do not like the way he has cowtowed to the defense in things like this..he could have put it off for one more day to the 4th..

Thre jury is not going to be happy about this either..and that will not help their client one bit.
