I guess it was missed, but "We went to Joran's apartment.  We parked where we always do.  We went in.  He was working on the computer, printing out some work for school the following day.... (sic).... we went to C&C.

The quote of Anita, on Greta's show right after the initial seach in 6/05:

They took all kind of things from Joran, a little kind of an MP3 player. They took tapes, also a tape of his tennis, college tennis camp. And the second time they took — they did a house searching, the garden, the pool. They took the two cars.

Why the emphasis on the garden and the pool?

I'm talking about ANITA emphasizing them in this comment. A little lapse of consciousness?

Computers & Camera?

Tamikosmoms wries: A. VAN DER SLOOT: The first time it was one computer that we all use. There's no lock on it so we can see what the kids are doing, one laptop of my husband that he only uses for his work, my digital camera what was on my desk, not in Joran's room on my desk.

Gee. why did they want the camera?

So he was working on the computer in his apartment.  Guess he just unplugs it from the family room when he wants to use it in his apt huh?  Wink

And why did she make such a point of saying it was on HER desk and not in Joran's room?

Joran had a LAPTOP he was using by the pool. I find it hard to believe that it didn't have an Internet connection, I suppose maybe it's POSSIBLE that they don't sell network cards on Aruba LOL.

Actually that laptop in the picture is a wireless.  All he needs is a wireless router from the house and he should be able to use the system anywhere he can get a signal -- the range should easily take inthe entire compound.

I might be wrong but I thought I saw a picture early on of the original search that a regular size monitor was being carried out of the house.  I might have faulty memory on this one....But, if that were true then obviously there must have been laptops there.  It has been pointed out that Paulus had a laptop and it stands toreason that Joran had his own.

Also, I do believe the Internet service provider will hold a key there.  Every computer has it's own unique IP address even though the provider will usually assign just one IP address for the main subscriber.  but the ISP should have a record, indeed the main computer -- if a wireless router is being used) should have all the network information already logged.

Night Monkeys,
I will be out of touch for a week or so. I hope some good things happen while I am away.

I copied part of my post from the previous thread to bring in here. It might be nice if Angie would repost those pictures as well. Thanks Angie.

When Kermit posted the link to the Menses airplane photography the other night. It was very clear they were very professional. Not just a passing interest. Kermit also had the person listed as a pilot as well as a photographer. I do not know where Kermit got this info but do trust it.

That's what I mean...he had his own laptop.  That boy had everything else.  A lappy would be high cotton around his less fortunate lackeys.

Only uses for work?  Anita has a desk in Joran's room? They took her camera so they could say they did something.  Rolling Eyes

I was thinking about the pics of the investigators measuring from the tree to the wall today.  Remember when we were told that Joran said he often snuck out of the house by going over the wall by his apartment.  His friends would drive up and wait in their car in that alley by his apartment and he would climb the wall, maybe using the tree, to sneak out at night so his parents didn't know he was gone.
