Was the "You are my Sunshine" video admitted into evidence?  If not, I don't think they can use it.  I'd want them to use it too, so I hope it was...and maybe I've just forgotten.

I'm stretching my brain here, but I think that in the beginning, Linda had Cindy identify the video. I remember Cindy talking about coming home from there, getting something more for Caylee to eat, and then going to the pool. I think Linda was clearing up Cindy's initial confusion on the date regarding how long Caylee had been missing.

Anyone else remember that?

I remember that because I had not followed the case until the trial, so I remember Cindy telling the whole story of their day and going to her mothers to have dinner or lunch and going home and being in the pool for over an hour with Caylee.

It seems to me that Linda had Cindy identify the video at that point and entered it into evidence, but I couldn't swear to it. I know she didn't play the whole thing, if that's the case. I was just hoping it could be used in closing.

I hope it will be used too, it would be perfect...Caylee on her last day on this earth...in the courtroom.

I get chills and teary eyed just thinking about it.

 

If they do it, I hope the Hawk starts squawking again too!

Jose Baez very first comments were damning to himself.

He said that you probably have more questions than answers at this point as the trial has come to an end. Hmm, ya mean like the questions that the DEFENSE posed in opening statements and never answered. Like that Jose?

Jose Baez has yet to actually make that one comment that sums up his closing. Did this guy not pay attention in public speaking classes? You don't start out be telling them what you are going to do or say and then fail to do it in any succinct method.

I think its pathetic that HLN and pundits have to make excuses that Baez is going to surprise us. REALLY? He would surprise me if he actually made a point that all common sense would not disprove. Every time Baez tries to make a point all I can do is quote the movie Billy Madison:

"Mr. Baez, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. "

My husband is a National Public speaker he is 1 of 3 nationwide with a  HUGE company and a preacher too on the side!

I have had my share of watching speakers and Baez does need speaking classes ect ect ect...
and he called his own client a slut! the prosecution never said that! he has NO people skills either!

OMG!  I tuned into HLN just long enough to see that trollette, JVM, acting as if she had a friggin brain.  Her credibility is right up there with Geraldo with me. What a moron she is.

Yes she is.. the mullet head...they made her get another hairdo because Joe Dirt was embarrassed by her stupidity and said it made all mullet heads look bad..atleast Joe Dirt had heart!

Sunny Hosten always amazes with her stupidity. She says there's only two types of mothers who kill: the mentally ill like Andrea Yates, or the kind that has a history of abuse. What about Susan Smith or Diane Downs? To the outside world they were loving mothers. No one ever accused them of abuse. Yet they killed their children when they became inconvenient. These are the sociopaths.

I would dare say there are many more inbetween that is gray. I have covered and wrote on so many stories of child abuse that lead to death where there was not signs of abuse. Sorry, killers do not fall into nice, neat boxes.

Nothing shocks me of this man's ego ... what shocks me is that he was allowed to. Today's closing is a perfect example to see a comparison of like legal expertise. Both sides are doing a closing ... ASHTON was laser focused and Baez is just babbling all over the place, we'll get back to that, "I'll show you this", ... flashbacks, flash-forwards and flash-sideways. A confused and muddled mess.

What else would one expect, the Defense has been a confused and muddled mess as well as lies and speculation that was never proved.

I am not convinced Baez is incompetent.
I've run into[many] people before who use this tactic a LOT - it's the old shell game trick - to keep you focused anywhere but on the truth. I think Baez is doing exactly what works for him  - play dumb. I hate to say this but Joran van der Sloot was good at that too.

I can respect your opinion, but he is in way over his head. Baez is in quicksand right now and no branch to grab on to. I know many people that play the dumb game to their advantage. This guy isn't it. All to often he opens the door and says things damning to his own client. 

The BS defense has been spread out over many days now all pointed to one focal point. Granted Baez is limited, but his inexperience is glaring. I would not use Baez for traffic court.
