You know, watching the David Westerfield trial, after everything I heard, I believed that he deserved to die.  I watched the verdict being read, and I saw his reaction when he heard that they condemned him to death.  He was visibly shaking and took big swallows, from what I recall.  And while I still think he deserves the death penalty, I did think to myself.. what would it be like to hear those words? To know that a group of people decided that I needed to die.  At some level, that has to do something to a person.  Makes me wonder how Casey would take that news.

Agree you never know what a jury will do especially since Judge Perry refused to let the Prosecution strike that one Juror who said she can't judge people.  But whatever they do, I still can't see they letting Casey waltz out the front door.  They will give her something even if it is far less than she deserves.

Note the Defense shills are saying anything less than DP is a victory.

They are so desperate to make the defense save face after their lousy performance. I'm sure the State would be happy just to get this woman out of society for as long as possible. I don't think KC will get the DP and I don't really think the State expects it either. LWOP will be an undisputable victory for the State, but I think even if the jury is stupid enough just to go with 2nd degree murder, that will at least protect society from the sociopath for about 30-life. Hey, who knows what could happen while she's on the inside? One can only hope.

Yeah...that worries me. If she gets a sentence she doesn't like, I'm going to bet she screams sexual misconduct by Bobo to get a new trial. let's hope and pray that cannot happen!

I think that is exactly what KC will do.  Think about the history.  She spends all that time alone with him in his office while out on bail.  He gets warned at the jail about touching her.  He hugs her after his closing.  She strokes his cheek while he's down on one knee.  She's set him up for improper conduct by counsel.

I slightly disagree, I would say that if it goes beyond 4 days that is usually typical that a compromised verdict returns but after a day in a half with all this evidence & varying charges to deal with, no.   I will bet my bottom dollar that the major issue is some of the jurors not getting that there are two ways that regardless of their personal theory leads to 1st degree.   Example, if some believe she chloroformed her child, they are probably some understanding what that indicates but some are saying she accidentally killed Caylee when by statute that is legally considered aggravated child abuse which causing death becomes felony murder.   If the jury got the fact that only she could have searched in March due to proof that Cindy lied & they get the meaning of the defendant's total disregard for Caylee during the 31 days & after, we'll get 1st degree murder, one way or another.

Im just as anxious but confident, if we get shocked otherwise truthfully I would be too stunned for words
