Well monkeys if they dont come in today with Murder one---forget about it---lets face how long would we take to reach a verdict

Nope: Charles Manson - 9 days.   an angelic monkey

Agree!  The taking of a human life is serious matter and some people want to take their time.  Unlike Casey, they are very somber about it.  Some people, myself included, always like to sleep on something to see if I still feel the same the next day.

In this case i would still feel the same the next day.

Well, some days I want the DP and nothing less will do.  Other days I want LWOPP.  Some days I am OK with something like a 30 year sentence knowing Casey will come out an old and broken person.

But whatever happens, it will be OK because even is she was found not guilty by some fluke, the majority of people think she is guilty and she would live in a very hostile world.

Kim Kardashian weighs in on Casey's guilt:

Here is an interesting read while waiting for a verdict.  It shows all of the women that have received the death penalty in the state of Florida...it also gives a summary of what they did.  I have been worried that they will not give her the DP because of her looks...tiny, petite, cute to some and so on...anyhow here it is:

I am confused as to why Casey is in the courtroom waiting.  Is that usual?  I thought she would be kept in her cell at jail until the jury reached a decision, and she was recalled to court. Are she and her DT just hanging out and waiting?  Seems strange to me.

Not sure why we care what Kim Kardashian thinks about anything.  She must want to play the part of the monster mom in the upcoming movie "Murder on Hopesprings Drive"

Also I mean no disregard to the jury...sometimes we do things without realizing why...things like the above mentioned can play into it and the juror not even realizing it.  It is easier to convict a big burly man then a tiny 25 year old girl...that is what I mean.

Bill Schaeffer just said if he was on this jury he would find her guilty of 1st degree murder, but would not vote for DP, Lwop.

Their's 2 ways of looking at this.  JMO
1. kc deserves living in open population in the jail house.
2. Like other states(Illinois is now a no kill state) Florida might follow other states in the near future.

I am confused as to why Casey is in the courtroom waiting.  Is that usual?  I thought she would be kept in her cell at jail until the jury reached a decision, and she was recalled to court. Are she and her DT just hanging out and waiting?  Seems strange to me.

IMO it is unusual and I'm not sure I understand it myself unless it is a place for her to meet with her attorneys.

She is not in the court room waiting, after they convene to either dismiss the jury for the evening or begin another day of deliberation she is brought up from a cell in the basement of the courthouse.  In the evening, if there is no verdict I believe they transport her back to OC jail.

Somebody just reminded me... did you all watch NG last night? She was going off about what Casey was saying during closing by LDB.. she made two comments, the first saying "I would never do that to my mom" (I think I thought she said "I would never blame my mom").. and then as for George, I believe she said "It IS his fault".. not what NG thought, which was "It's NOT his fault". She was going off about that, but I really think she was mistaken.

Sorry---don't know what's wrong with that link---just do a "search" on The Daily Mail for their many articles about Casey -- there are some good ones.  The Brits do a good job at covering our news here.

Which really makes you question that lady the defense brought in, who claims she's been in London and didn't know a thing about it.

That is where she is.  The basement holding area.  Bill S said first thing this morning that no one would be allowed near the jury as they sit in the courtroom/jury room deliberating.

Zoo - you and Capp are correct.  What I meant is that she was in court earlier today and it was likely to go over something with her attorneys and meet with the judge just like all the attorneys were there.  Afterwards I'm sure they took her to the holding cell.

I don't particualrly like that the jury has to see her each time they break and come back, but hey that's the law I guess.

Years ago I was on a civil trial that lasted 7 almost 8 weeks.  It was a frustrating trial and involved to very large and well known local companies.  It was all about contracts and leases which you can imagine was extremely boring.

We were an ALL WOMAN jury.  All walks of life.  At the time the company I worked for paid UNLIMITED regular pay for jury duty.

After closing statements, we went into the deliberation room which was within the courthouse.  They selected ME to be the foreman probably because I knew more than the rest about leases and contracts.  ANYWAY, long story short.  I was appalled by how the majority of the jurors made their decision on guilt.  It was based upon which attorneys they liked better and what clothes they were wearing.  Who's smile they liked the best.

In a civil case it is 9 or 12 jurors must have the same verdict.  Well the vote went what I felt was the wrong way 10-2 (Me and the wife of an attorney voted against the rest).  I was able to keep monetary penalties down but that was all I could do.  At the end, the JUDGE called me into his chambers and asked what happened.  I explained my frustration and how the jurors made their decision.  IT ENDED UP IN A MISTRIAL.  7-8 WEEKS OF MY LIFE BASICALLY WASTED.

That said, if any of THESE jurors make their decision based upon the looks or actions of the attorneys Casey will get the death penalty.
