I have a question...

If an American can't join any branch of the military without a HS Diploma or GED, then how can they be a juror to decide life or death of a person on trial? If those tweets about #5 hold any basis, and if this chick hangs up the jury, I'm gonna be po'd! Hype, right?

Jury of your peers means a cross section representing their area. I'm sure any area in this country has a percentage of people that didn't graduate HS.

Here it is taken from the registered voters list.  Not sure about other states.  I am in Alabama.

It was said during jury selection that it is simply over 18 with a Florida State driver's license.  That means that get a good cross section of all Americans.

I don't know why or how the pundits picked 5 as a hold out...they certainly aren't in a room with her..they certainly haven't spoken with other jury members.

I think it shows very poor taste for the media to go after juror 5 simply because she did not graduate high school.. So what..lots of very capable people, many wealthy people and many famous people never graduated high school..doesn't make them stupid or uncaring.  She may have gotten a GED right away..who knows.  Number 5 worked as a nurses aid until a few years ago..which means she has interacted with all sorts of people..has worked with a cross section of the public..she to me would be the last juror to have blinders on..but what do I know.

I have wondered, among all the hundreds of other things, if Caylee SAID something that set Casey off--something like who's zanny?  Or i don't want to get in the trunk again!  Could be anything along those lines.

Just speculating to pass the time.
My feelings are that Caylee cried for her JoJo and her CiCi and that was the straw that broke the camels back.  This of course after the fight with Cindy on 6/15.  Sadly, we will never know....bottom line, for me, is that taking Caylee's life was mainly for hurting Cindy and then, to give herself the life she wanted.

tupelo, get outta my head!!  That has been my thoughts on the WHY as well..
Sunny, it's the only thing that makes sense to me. She is a self admitted spiteful bitch. Oh how I wish that fight had come into evidence, especially if Lee was truly there. Cindy is the one that made the truth go away, before the 911 calls by cleaning the car and it's contents, and especially after they were made.  We don't really know the wrath of Cindy, but obviously her family members do and are straight up afraid of her.  I do feel Lee and George don't give a chit anymore, which is why I stated the other night, that Cindy now has no one.

tups, we are on the same branch for sure..Cindy is EVIL.....she knew KC was capable of doing something and that is why she immediately went into cover up mode...that's why she sent GA to work..I have always thought she took other things out of the car ...incriminating items.....

I know chloroform is an inhalant, but did a monkey search the How to Make It and did it say how the home made version was to be administered?

I did a search how to make it a while back, and it was extremely easy to make. I'm sorry that I don't recall if it said how to administer it....I was mainly wanting to see if the ingredients would have been difficult or expensive to get. They weren't. Acetone, bleach and ice if I recall. It's been a while.

Very well put! Some of the most intelligent people I know didn't graduate from high school. I used to teach GED night classes, and - generally speaking - the only real "deficiency" those folks had was one of self-confidence. Common sense and intelligence were abundant.

Just speculating to pass the time.

if her and cindy had a fight that night she took caylee, maybe caylee was crying to go back to cindy and that set her off

That is exactly what I think....how dare Caylee betray her by wanting her grandmother.  But then, that would not explain all the searches, etc.

I think Caylee was saying things that kc didn't want to come out.
Almost 3, Caylee was talking........which I think one of the reasons she had to die.
All 3 of my kids at that age were talking good..
Kid's do say the darnest things.

Local restaurant packed with the after-church crowd one Sunday.  Waitress comes over to take out order.  My first born about the age of Caylee says in crystal clear enunciation and booming voice "Hi, my mom says you have real greasy food!  Greasy, greasy, greasy!"  He thought greasy meant something good.  You could hear  a pin drop after that.

He also was apparently born with an aversion to gossip.  Lord knows he didn't get that from me.  If I ever said something he perceived as bad about someone he knew he would say "I'm going to tell them!  That you hate them!"

So yeah, I can just imagine the things poor little Caylee could tell that Casey was doing and had done.

I also wonder if Casey left her in the trunk routinely.  Could she have died from the hear if TotMom overslept and failed to remove her before the heat set in for the day.

All kinds of possibilities and none of them good.

Good morning monkeys--That's what I think too, Tupelo.  Cindy and Casey had that tremendous fight about the Pleasea's stolen money.  Cindy lied yet again under oath about it, saying they snuggled on the couch and had a "Pleasant evening." According to  Cindy's brother's ex wife, Shirley Pleasea said that Casey took Caylee and left in the night of the 15th/16th. Ms. Pleasea said Cindy told her that. I think she killed her shortly after.  George lied when he said he saw Casey and Caylee on the 16th. I think Caylee died in order for Casey to get even with Cindy by taking what she loved most. I think the prosecution should have developed this story but Cindy was allowed to lie under oath, even though they knew about the fight.  Apparently Lee witnessed it and told Jessie Grund about it.  I'm sure George knew about it.  Maybe they'[ll get a conviction without it.  I hope so.

Right, I agree with all of you...and thank you. I do wonder, and not being derogatory at all, but I do wonder why you can't gobinto the military without a hs diploma or ged but you can sit on a dp trial & determine somebody's fate. I mean, it's not civil, it's a murder trial. I 100% agree that there are many good smart people w/o a diploma but to me it doesn't seem fair that it's not enough for the service but it is for a death penalty trial. IMO it should be even all the way around. The media says juror #5 has an 11th grade education, so does that mean no ged? She is a retired nurse's aid, mother that had a DUI in 98, grandmother, her grandson and son have a history with drugs, etc. This is why I ask: Why is it a requirement to have a diploma or ged for an American to be admitted into the military when in all reality they are doing so to protect our country and spread freedom & diplomacy? But not a requirement to be a juror in a murder trial?

The detail that could doom Casey Anthony
'It's hard to come up with any explanation consistent with innocence for failing to report your child missing for 31 days,' legal expert says

Asked about the lack of strong evidence of murder — no cause of death was established — (Star) Jones said commentators initially thought it would be hard to prove premeditation to get a first-degree verdict.  But Florida's law contains a different route to the death penalty.

"If you prove that Casey Anthony committed aggravated child abuse or was in the process of committing aggravated child abuse — say, by putting tape on her mouth and chloroforming the baby in order to keep her quiet — that's enough to get you to murder in the first degree, if the baby dies as a result of those actions," Jones told TODAY.
