Lee Anthony was not in court.
I wonder if he'll get up in her defense during the penalty phase?

After this case I don't think I can watch another one again!

Another grandmother here agrees!  Never again. No more.
Feeling like I just exhaled for the first time in more than three years.
Caylee so reminded me of my own granddaughter at that age.  The singing, the dancing, the question of papa about how he was feeling. Concerned for that old papa breaks my heart still.
My granddaughter's favorite song:  You are My Sunshine.
Favorite colors were the pastels and mostly lilac.
Mine loved animals. Still does.
George looks soooooooooo much like my George. I have many pictures of my George holding his little granddaughter at 2 years.
I could go on and on....but will stop with my final hurt:

Caylee should be walking with jo jo to first grade in a matter of weeks.

Having spent a lot of time with little ones this weekend, this grandfather agrees with you guys who say you won't get caught up in another case like this one. BUT... I don't know about you, but I said the same thing after the Lacy Peterson case, yet here I am...

OMG, I had to go to the Fourth of July Parade and missed Linda's closing.  I will catch up...The Honorable Judge Perry just dismissed the jury...I'm on tenterhooks, butterflies in my tummy, it's really happening...After three years, I can't believe that we are going to have some sort of closure...Thank you, all of you monkeys, this has been an incredible experience, sharing it with all of you, your wit and compassion and eloquence, is overwhelming.  My sincere gratitude for what you have brought to Caylee's Justice.

It has been a long time coming friend....we have all been drawn to this thread for one reason ....Caylee Marie...too bad her own mother did not care as much about her as a cage full of monkeys!
It has been a long time coming, Cubbeegirl.  I seem to remember that Caylee had a backpack with Boots the Monkey from Dora the Explorer.
I think she would love to know she was surronded by monkey love!

Auugh, sorry, didn't mean to make Boots so big!  Mods?

It's just fine.  We have BIG love for Caylee.

I think Lee is done with his so-called sister.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gave a statement on behalf of Caylee though...I think Uncle E learned a lot about life from her death....IMO

Look at the defiance on Cindy's face!!  She too can rot as far as I'm concerned.

When I look into Casey's eyes ... I see fear.  As jury members file out with only one affording her eye contact ... could it be that Cases senses that accountability for the first time in her life is a reality and ... unlike her mother ... the jury is not about to give her "chance after chance".

Three Years Ago Today

July 4th: Cindy Anthony's posting on Casey Anthony's MySpace Account
Subject: My Caylee is missing
Current mood: Distraught

“She came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?”

The videos of Jeff and Linda's respective rebuttals to the defence's closing arguments  have been posted.  JP's instructions to the jury should be posted soon.

WFTV has come through big time on many levels in this trial!  IMO

Janet

Thank you so much, Janet.  WFTV has been my go to place for catch up.  (And I really like Kathi Belich and Bill Schaeffer's analysis.)

The prosecutors from Zahra are prolly watching and learning from this case before picking up the father.  Can't wait to see him fry either.  I really love people and hat to see people die but I put myself there with little Zahra and know without a shadow of  doube, I would have killed the father and stepmom before letting them kill her.  Too bad I did not live next door.  So, the death penalty seems too humane for some of these killers.

That poor girl. There's another story that is absolutely sickening and heartbreaking.  Way too many children out there who ended up with complete scum for parents.

I think for each of us there are certain things in certain cases that just grabs our heartstrings and we can not stop ourselves, so saying this will be the last case for some, yes I think you mean it til the next case that grabs the heart strings hits us. and as long as there are human's there will be more cases of mothers, boyfriends, husbands who kill their young for no reason. Why cant these people just give the child up for adoption it just doesnt make sense to me. I was blessed with only one child and he was my world and still is 27 yrs later. I was also a single mom and never met a guy that was worth me getting rid of my child for. never saw hanging with friends worth getting rid of him, I just dont understand how anyone can do these things.

Happy 4th Monkey's,

I was surprisingly impressed by the Linda's closing arguments.  Her projection of her voice was crisp and clear, and her statements were effective, as were her pauses. Her closing was sharp, crisp and clear as a bell.  A child of ten could understand her rebuttal. If the jurors could not comprehend the computer searches, and the scientific issues, she put on a excellent case of show and tell.

I am a bit puzzled, a juror (reportly) has a cruise on July 7.  I hope a verdict would be reached by the July 6, but if not, does an alternate juror step-in on July 6?
