Don't forget Judge Perry withheld a motion for mistrial. He is still sitting on it... and hasn't made a ruling. How does that work?

He did say during the trial... he could announce his ruling on that after the verdict was read.

The mistrial would have been the ideal outcome in retrospect!! I said earlier that the judge needs to man up and sanction Baez to the hilt. He should be disbarred.

#CaseyAnthony defense has an "escape plan" for her should she be free to leave Orlando after sentencing.

Maybe sending her to the middle east in a burqa.

Its probably here somewhere but I cant read thru the whole thing right now, does anyone know what KC sentence for the check writing was?  How much time did she get for that?  I cant believe he would  actually leave jail this week!!!!!!!
I've been asking that too...does anyone know?? Is she considered a felon now because of that sentence??
Her sentence was 412 days in jail, which she had already served that time sitting in jail on the murder charges. Now that she will be let go, she still has 1 year of probation on the check charges.  Casey will be a good little girl for that amount of time, at least. After that.....only she knows.

I'm not sure. It may determine how much money she stole whether or not that will be a felony.

Felon
Thanks so much for answering my question! I think drug addicts serve more time then Casey ever will...I'm just so sad over this

Each juror will have to live with  their choice and they will see more and more of their mistakes in not finding her guilty, think how their friends and family are going to feel towards them, co workers etc

For Mr. Ashton, Mr George and Linda they did  wonderful, But i still say Yuri and the others will not let her have a peaceful day. Every time she goes out they will be there watching her she wont have the freedom she thinks she will get

What i don't get...if not murder 1...why not a lessor charge? seriously duct tape on a child is ABUSE...disposing of body in a swamp is abuse of a corpse...it makes no sense...

I can't believe we would have been better off with a mistrial... I don't believe in violence...but if anyone was ever a marked target i believe she is at this point...

Did Casey could do this whole crime by herself?  Did she have help?  I find that the 20,000 question. Could this be why the
Jury, did not find her guilty?  How could she manipulate this murder and cover-up by herself?  Did she have one of her swinging friend's, aide and abet?  IMO

I wonder if we will find out more facts since she is found not guilty?

There was no jury tampering  There were just people who believed their doubts were reasonable, no matter what JP cautioned them about that.

They probably think she's guilty, but just felt that they couldn't convict based on their reasonable doubt.  One juror left the courtroom sobbing.  You know they have to know, except maybe a couple who might be in complete denial.

"Not guilty" doesn't mean "innocent".  They didn't vote her innocent, just couldn't with their conscience vote her guilty without reasonable doubt.

They had lesser charges to convict her on...and I d blame the jury

carpe, you give me a glimmer of hope.

I had forgotten about that.

I noticed that Judge Perry seemed to appear unhappy (to me at least) as the verdict was read.

My daughter thinks that the jury just did not understand the instructions.  She was not sure the state proved as much as they should have, but she can't believe the verdict either.  Neither can my husband, but I guess we have been convinced for a while now that our country is going down.....

Wait I be wrong!

Looks like JP has overturned verdicts before

" Superior Court Judge Robert Perry raised the unusual prospect that if he does not agree with jury convictions, he has the option to change the verdicts or order a new trial. He said he has done this in other cases."
