Sad to hear about Jeff Aston but I don't blame him for retiring. You could tell his everything went into this case and he knows justice wasn't served. The pros team did good though especially Linda and Jeff.

Russ agrees with jurors whole heartedly. He's another alternate juror. On phone with Vonnie right now. Sounds feminine.

Now he says George sounded like he was hiding something. Russ also said that there would be more than 1 hair found in the trunk if there was a body in there.

These jurors are remedial idiots.

I don't think Cindy was the only one to clean the car. Remember, George's father had a car sales business. He worked there after leaving the TCSO and then opened up his own car sales business. He knew how to detail cars. Lee said that in his OCSO interview!

I believe they got such dumb people on that jury that they were not intelligent enough to understand what was presented. If you noticed they had NO college graduates on there.

In the aftermath of this shocking verdict my take away is the prosecution may have made the following strategic mistake.

Instead of emphasizing the premeditation (chloroform searches) and the cold calculated desire to kill her child for a new found freedom, perhaps they should have chosen a more plausible (or different) motive.

Namely, a crime of passion to punish her mother due to a lingering enraged behavior following the major argument (which included attempted choking) within close proximity of the intentional killing. It was perhaps easier to show that this act was the result of rage rather than planning, or premeditation, back in March '08.

Some have asked in recent days why the prosecutors did not make more of this horrific argument between mom and daughter? Well, with the benefit of hindsight I am now convinced this is a damn good point.

Too late, but I totally agree....Motive might have helped.

It would be nice for KC to just be released today.  It is going to happen, may as well get on with it.   Her mother can now relish in the old adage "be careful what you wish for". 

Where mom thinks it will be her and her BFF, KC will be wanting to get her hair done, her new clothes, her new friends.   Cindy will be right where she always was....with one excpetion...we have zero control over our adult children.   KC will be even haughteir than ever and Cindy is going to pay.   Money only goes so far.   And while KC will be injoying it to the fullest,  Cindy will not.  Not really.   

George and Lee will never be the same.  Only KC will be the same, but with money and freedom.

I do not for one minute think she will have another child, unless it is to trap some man. 

I am now taking my little boy to gymnastics then help him learn to ride this bike for the fourth time today ( he is getting better );  thinks KC and Cindy cannot enjoy.

Don't forget Judge Perry withheld a motion for mistrial. He is still sitting on it... and hasn't made a ruling. How does that work?

He did say during the trial... he could announce his ruling on that after the verdict was read.

If she was found guilty -- he could have declared a mistrial. I am sure he cannot now. He DOES have the ability to sanction Baez -- I bet he won't.

I don't feel like doing anything.  Dh will be home looking for food, but I do not feel like cooking.  I'm outraged....don't want to hear anymore about this case, but on the other hand, I need to understand what these people were thinking when they found her not guilty.  I need to process this.  Mark Klass couldn't believe the verdict, either.

I'm with you - husband ready for dinner and I even promised him breakfast for supper but that was before there was a verdict.  The thought of food is gagging me.  Where is the valium kitty? - I think I need something!!

No doubt one of those rich, weird, old, men will seek out Casey and take her in. However Casey Anthony is incapable of going into "hiding." In her mind she's won and everyone who doubted her or wronged her, she will want revenge on and apologies from. So she'll make her rounds. I hope NO respectable journalist will pay her for her story, but unfortunately it'll happen. I've NEVER wished harm on anyone in my life. Not even O.J. when that injustice was done. But if this time next year I hear Casey Anthony was brutally beat up outside of a bar, I won't even flinch.
