I'm behind on reading, but a major news station in Texas just showed results of a poll ~ 78% would boycott ANY movie, book, etc. in which CA would benefit.

I believe CindyA is lying about the original searchers threatening them . . . it's just another way to make sure she is seen and heard.  Gag me.

Took Mom to large teaching hospital in Central Texas today . . . waiting for CAT scan . . . .doctors, nurses, patients....young, older, different ethnicities, male, female, packed reception area as all watched in shock as the verdict was read . . . not ONE person was in agreement.  Quite interesting as such a variety of watchers.  sad.

CBS is doing a special 48Hours called Judgement Day, but it has Linda Baden.
Well, l won't be watching it.  I still have not turned tv on tonight.  I may not turn it on the rest of the week.  I won't watch anything that has to do with that family.  I guess I have moved from disbelief to anger now. I just keep reading here and praying.  I still just can't understand how this happened.  How could the jury ignore the fact that she did not report caylee missing for so long.  That in itself pointed to her guilt.
I will not watch anymore about this case.  My television is on Spongebob Squarepants for my granddaughter.

Yep, mine is on Good Luck Charlie for the kiddos.  I am NOT watching anymore of this on tv...Im NOT giving them that.  I pray that everyone walks away from it but I know that won't happen.

Thanks Klaas....I had heard that but was hoping against hope that there would be a longer sentence...
I am just heart sick tonight..I just can not shake my sadness.

We all are, cookie. Just realize when Caylee is released to the outside world, her life will be hell.

Bitch has no clue.  She's better off in protective custody for her.  But for the rest of us, I want to see her suffer miserably in the real world.   She has no friends!  She'll have no choice but to go into hiding.  She'll be praying for protective custody!

Yup!

She was so much better when in custody and away from Cindy and the crazy, disfunctional family!

She has no family, nor friends to turn to anymore.

All she has is her *disfunctional* defense team, IMO.

And if that is where she goes, she needs to be afraid.

Brandi raises her hand!

Agreed.
Anyone think the judge will go through with his threats to Bozo...report him to the bar?

No, it's not at all tacky. Light will always chase away darkness, and yours will shine!!

It's a sweet idea.  sunny
But speaking of birthday candles, there is one thing I DON"T even want to see mentioned in a news byte: Some "touching" way the "grieving" Anthony's are celebrating Caylee's birthday on August 9th. They lost that right when they supported her killer. JMO.

OMG......... I'm with you!! I can't even think about that. The vision of Cindy sending up a balloon to Caylee makes me physically ill. It's an insult to Caylee's memory!

Red... I am suspect of this jury as well...something is not right!
I am sick at heart that the very justice system that is suppose to protect her has failed Caylee miserably....
I am disgusted with the defense team for "dancing on Caylee's grave"....oh, wait, she didn't have a grave, just a garbage bag in a swamp...

I shake my head and I find it telling that the jury did not do a press conference. I better never see them in the media as these cowards did not have the guts to face the press.

I cannot believe that this jury believed this BS. It is beyond reasonable for all 12 to believe it. I am glad that I knew none of these fools as I would have to say had I, I would befriend them.

They did not provide JUSTICE in this case, it would appear all they wanted to do is go home.

Karen Levy, courthouse information officer, also announced that the jury does not want to talk to the media and are asking that their privacy be respected. She stated that they all have the information packets that the media provided and they will contact media if they wanted to talk to them. Media reacted almost with anger.

Not sure if the DT is still partying and gloating, but you can be sure, they'll be hitting the t.v. curciut for weeks, everywhere.  Bozo is in a false bubble and will brag as long as he can.  Now THAT makes me almost even sicker.  Though I believe she will pay hell when she gets off, but he's done and off to his next case.  He (thinks) he's a pro now!

Juror # 1398
» White female in 60s
» Very articulate and well-dressed counselor
» Nancy Grace: "I choose not to watch."
» "I value life. I also value our criminal justice system as it has evolved. I accept the death penalty."
This woman should've seen the truth of KC.

Juror # 3185 » White male, aged 53
» Revealed his name is "Jim" and said friends told him they heard his voice
» Has never married.
» Grew up in San Francisco Bay area
» 6 out of 10 on the death penalty scale.
» Nephew is a cop
» Says of law enforcement: "Pleased to have them protecting us."
Wonder how he'll look his LE nephew in the eye.

Juror # 3140
» White female in 40s
» Strong supporter of death penalty (10 out of 10 on scale)
» Worked at day care center and supports death penalty for first degree murder of a child
» Wants to be on the jury
» In response to "who are you" question, she said, "Old fashioned." "My kids think I'm a great mom."
She should've been able to see this through Caylee's eyes.

These three look to be the best supporters for pros.  And yet we don't have a mistrial.  Was there not one person on that jury that had to b@lls to stand up to the group for Caylee's sake?

I think its unreal for Baez and the Defense team to be high-fiving each other, jumping up and down and wooping it up.

What class ... dancing on the grave of little Caylee, oh that's right she didn't get a grave, she was double bagged and left in a swamp to rot and be chewed on by animals.

Here is what the jurors do.

1.  They get the case, read instructions then they elect a Foreman
2.  Once they start deliberating they try to put the puzzle pieces together to see if they fit the charges.
3.  If everyone doesn't agree they have to work on GETTING everyone to agree.  The problem with that is it takes time.  Those in a hurry are more likely to change their mind to get out of there.

I can understand them not finding her guilty of murder in the first degree but AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE was a slam dunk, IMO
I agree. There is no way on Earth that the JURY should not have found Casey guilty of AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE. To do so would mean that you heard none of the evidence presented or just rejected it. The idea that this jury did not provide justice for Caylee is mind boggling. There is no way this jury should have ever contemplated letting Casey Anthony walk out of jail.

They actually bought the BS of a drowning. UNREAL. What part about no one turns a accident into a murder?

It frightens me that there are such stupid people out there.

You, RED, give this jury more credit than I think they deserve.

I think the only thing on their minds was going home.

They had done enough 'deliberating' and serving. They were through.

They wanted to go home. Period.

JMO.

I totally agree Brandi...
But if it was a member of their family or a friend they would be demanding justice!

Could be better she gets off sooner, than later after people's fury has abated a bit. This way maybe some righteously indignant yet psychotic person will take her out. And I don't mean on a date. What's Joy Wray been up to lately?

I just watched FOX NEWS and Sean hannity ompletely get the case wrong. What a fool.

I just sent him an email stating, adios dude ... you just loss a viewer and listener for good. Stick to politics because you know nothing about crime and stop cobering the case for ratings.

I have actually followed Sean since his days in ATL ... no more. He just lost me forever.

I used to follow Sean when I traveled to Atlanta as well. I'm afraid to ask what he said tonight.

The gist of it was that the prosecution failed to prove murder using the forensics & timeline [ I think--I'm so tired ] ---he was in serious defense mode---praised Baez to the max and thought Baez's closing argument just dandy---it was almost as if he was working like crazy not to get hit with some kind of lawsuit---that was my crazed opinion, which is prolly offbase.  But he said the same things over & over, working in overdrive.

My fiance, 2 year old son, and I lit a candle for Caylee, we have our front porch light on, I will pray extra long for Caylee tonight. I don't know how I'll feel in the morning but I feel a little better than I did 8 hours ago. I hope we can all remember the good as several people have pointed out throughout tonight. I wish I could hug every single monkey who is disappointed today. A big thank you to all the mods here! Remember that Casey still has to answer in the biggest court of all one day and we all know what that verdict will be

So, there was one on the jury, at a least an alternate, with a college degree.  Unfortunately, he wasn't a thinking person however.

what about the nurses and the single special ed teacher?  I'm pretty sure those careers require a bachelor's degree.

Going on memory, so I could be wrong but one was a nurses aide-I am not sure what degree that involves.

OMG, one of the alternate jurors is talking on Greta ... Now I know why a killer is going free.

Shaking my head ... these F'ers did not listen to one thing the STATE said. These yokels didn't think this case was going to get the attention it got. Go back and go live under your rock.

Hey killers ... go to Pinellas County ... I guess they thing killing people is ok, especially helpless, defenseless little 2 year olds.

Why did 12 jurors and ... two alternate jurors (Greta/JVM) ... not take into consideration ANYTHING the State presented in the case against Casey Anthony.  Was there influence?  Was there jury tampering?

I believe an investigation should be forthcoming to assure that no wrongdoing within the justice system affected the outcome of this trial.  Justice for Caylee demands it!

Janet

This gives some insight into the thinking of the jury.
They think it was an accident that snowballed out of control and the family participated in covering it up.

unfreakenbelievable.
