There is absolutely no explanation for what occured today. I have no words to convey the extreme disappointment and sadness that this jury has left me with. There is no plausible explanation as to how they came too such a conclusion, as the whole country watched the trial and saw the evidence. Casey doesn't report daughter missing for 31 days, car turns up smelling like death, computer shows searches for neck breaking and chloroform, decomposition in her car trunk, and Caylee found around a few hundred yards from their house, but the prosecution didn't prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt? The jury owes an explanation as to who the f**k they think did it.

I am puzzled about the actual possibilities for sentencing on the four charges of lying to a law enforcement officer in the course of a missing persons case or criminal investigation.

ICA has been in jail for about 34 months?(estimating)

She was sentenced to and given credit for 412 days served (about 13.5 months) in Jan 2010 for the check charges, plus one year of probation.

Just trying to figure out the maximum possible sentence for the four counts of lying to LE.  If she gets one year for each count, four years total (back to back), that will equal 48 months.

I don't know whether the 13.5 months served for check fraud will be subtracted from her time already served.

Sorry, just thinking.  Trying to figure how HHJP could keep her incarcerated for as long as possible.  Feeling so shell-shocked and sad for Caylee and all who love her.

Almighty God, we thank you for having a place for Caylee where there is no pain, no sorrow, no weeping, no death.  We praise you for receiving her into your warm embrace filled with love and peace.
On this day Father, we wanted peace and justice on earth for Caylee.  Yet for reasons we will never understand during this journey here, it was not to be.  We rest in the assurance of knowing your ways are not our ways, your thoughts are not our thoughts, and your time is not our time.  In the deep places of our spirits we know that is good.  We know too you are a just God and vengeance belongs solely to you -- that too is good.  I just humbly ask you to cause all whose faith and love is shaken this day to remember we must continue to stand for what is right and true, no matter the pain and hurt it may cause.  For alas, there will be another innocent who will need voices of the righteous in order to be heard.  Heal our souls so that once again we will rise to shout for justice from the roof tops.  Again Lord, we thank you for receiving Caylee to her eternal loving home and we thank you for sharing her with each of us here.  Amen and Amen.

hey monkeys, went to bed last night very sad.  sometimes i feel like the bad guys just keep winning.  I prayed and my answer was that the best way to counter evil (this) is with good.  It gave me great peace to think in addition to the good that i'm sure all of us monkeys do on a daily basis that if everyone would go out of their way and do something, anything, (hold a door or give an extra smile for another person) and do it not despite this verdict but because of this verdict - that evil does not win in this and that the end result was a follow up day with decent people being extra decent just to spite evil.  i do believe that justice, at some point, will be served simply because God is just and God is truth.

I and pray for LE, the many fine officers who investigated and searched for Caylee. I and pray for the many searchers from all walks of life, who gave of themselves to find Caylee. I and pray for Tim Miller, carrying his own burden and caring enough about someone else to pick up theirs as well as he searches for missing children.  I and pray for Roy Kronk and for the many wonderful CSI men and women who crawled on hands and knees, searching for Caylee's tiny bones. I and pray for Linda Drane-Burdick, Jeff Ashton, Frank George, and the support staff behind them who worked long, hard, and valiantly for Caylee. Your integrity shone like the noonday sun. You did not fail Caylee...12 men and women from FL did.  I and pray for the Honorable Chief Justice Belvin Perry... A man of courage, integrity, and honor.   I wish I had a way to thank all of these people that would match my gratitude. It will never be enough, but Thank You.  It is my prayer that you will not allow this verdict to derail you. Yes I think he could have but he was too busy celebrating with the rest of the train wreck after the verdict. None of the charges were felonies so bail probably was not that much.

This is how I think it went down. Took the jury 2 hours to figure out who the foreman was going to be, then another 6 hours to figure out how to fill out the forms. This is just so sad and I am still having trouble accepting it. But it is what it is and we have time the Anthony's will get theirs even if it takes years like OJ.

I mean they didn't ask 1 question or ask for any piece of evidence. That is IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! We heard testimony for over a month and no questions? No arguing? How about sleeping on it...they came dressed this morning!!!

Isn't there someway they could be held in contempt or the state bring anything thing against them for NOT doing their true duty? How about for not listening ,not taking notes, not paying enough attention.....

Its a valid point ...I made it myself...they asked to have movies approved via notes to the judge but asked NOTHING about the evidence or usage of law during their deliberations...its INSANE...

I  feel like we got Punked...but so far no one has said "gotcha!"...If there was a remedy and a chance i would hope the state would explore it...but they just looked so deflated....and basically just like all of us....amazed at the disservice this jury did and the miscarriage of justice they handed down in Caylee's name...its staggering...and its harsh....

Unfortunately, it may have to just be what it is for now....and someday...TRUE justice will he ours...and hers...

No. I'm scared to dare to hope anymore when it comes to justice.   

I am not watching Thursday.  Could care less.  He cannot give her anymore than a year, but most likely she will walk out time served on Thursday, so what is the point.  Why give the channels the viewers. 

I am done watching as well. I never want to see Bozo and Mumbles and whorseface's ugly mugs ever again except in a mug shot or obituary. Nor the phony Anthonys, nor LKB, nor Jaynie Whinetraub, nor that weird sounding Larry Seindlin guy, nor Bozo's sycophant buddy Geraldo, nor any of the bottom feeders that think like them.

I am trying to figure out how to function.  I am a mess.  Every time I try to move on, I see Caylee and get that gut wrenching feeling in my heart again.  I want to do something with my kids tomorrow, but I cannot even think straight, afraid to drive, might crash.  My mind is a mess. 

Maybe George will kill her, LOL.  I am beginning to think this was all a set up.  He allowed them to say those horrible things.  I hate I am thinking this.  He knew he would not be prosecuted for sex abuse and/or dumping a corpse.  The plan was to be argumentative to Bozo, give them doubt, that Cindy would lie, give them doubt.  Their plan worked.  Today, Cindy's smile said it all to me.  George, just looked empty.  But, how could he be empty if people are believing he found his granddaughter and dumped her. 

I also noticed throughout the whole trial, bozo smiled at the jurors said good morning to them, they would say good morning back.  The state never did.  Isn't that jury tampering of some sort? 

How do I go on?  Where do I put this pain? 

Thank you all for being here for me.  I probably will stop coming here for a while.  I need to heal.  I might hang out in happier threads like JSM's banning thread a bit.

I guess the thing that concerns me the most is that 12 adult women and men lacked critical thinking skills and logic.  Casey lied about Caylee's whereabouts and her own, with differing cover stories to different people.  She was the last person in possession of both the car and Caylee...one was abandoned, smelling like death and one was missing,found dead, skull wrapped in duct tape. In short, she had Caylee that day and Caylee turned up dead.  So, she's just guilty of lying? It's Negligent Homicide/InvoluntaryManslaughter at the bare minimum (if you completely ignore three pieces of duct tape and password-protected computer searches about killing done by Casey-proven by jail video visits with her family requesting her password). Consider the evidence and it's clearly Murder1.  I agree it's a Runaway Jury.  These 12 people unanimously voted to go home early.  My honest opinion.
