Argh! I hate microsoft windows and their damnable updates! Every time it updates my computer, I lose my audio drive and have to reinstall it!

That's odd, I've never heard of that before.  Maybe you need to contact MS or the audio manuf. to see if they have an updated driver or check MS knowledge base to see if others have the same problem and there may be a known fix.

Through internet searching each time, I've  found others who have had the same problem, and fortunately remedies (so far) for the issues.
