Yes, the judge on the Casey Anthony trial can overturn the verdict and/or sentence. This allows for a procedural guarantee that the state has met its burden and that it gives the court the opportunity to review its prior rulings to make sure the court is comfortable.

I dont see this happening unless JP is an upstanding guy and if my mom read him right she said as he was looking at the verdict and handed it to the clerk of court that he looked disgusted

The Today Show was also talking to three legal analysis and one of them said she hopes that the jury never reveals who they are.

I'd love to see the video of the Today show today! It sounds worth watching!

Will KC be able to l;eave state of FL when she gets out?

She could probably get permission to leave if the state and county she wanted to go to would accept her. Depends on what is going to be in the probation order.

Unless she gets put in some type of protective custody while out on supervision there is one good thing...wherever she is out on probation her whereabouts, county residing in and exact address will be accessible by EVERYONE!  It's posted for ALL to SEE on the DOC website!!!  Isn't that just lovely.  Maybe some nice stalkerish, madman would like to go visit her?

I wonder if that video of her reacting to the discovery of Caylee's remains will be released now that the trial is done. I wish it would -- it would be great for everyone to see firsthand the video that Judge Strickland basically said would leave no doubt that she killed her child.

It would be interesting for sure. I have never watched a complete trial before from start to end. I thought it was very interesting and was very surprised at what could be brought up and what couldn't. I was a little shocked at how the trial worked nothing compared to TruTV.  I am going to do my best not to watch that anymore or HLN. Why were they so for the defense the past 3 years then all of a sudden things shifted. The state did an excellent job, the circus not so much but they entertained the jury much more than the state did is all I can think of. I hope that whole family is dogged every step of their lives.

Sorry Caylee, the jury took your day away.

« Reply #45 on: July 06, 2011, 08:05:12 AM »

I have to get over this.  My son, 11, keeps coming to me and saying, mommy, please stop crying.  He does not understand.  My daughter, 13 says to just stop thinking about Caylee.  My son, 11, says, to my daughter 13, how can she just stop thinking about Caylee.

I have to find a way to get over this.

I fell like Caylee was killed all over again yesterday.

How do people who actually love their children who are victims of murder survive acquittals?

I don't get it.

What did the jurrors think of the duct tape?

What was the chloroform?

Why was she partying 31 days?

Why didn't she report the drowning?

Why would George hide a drowning?

How could you dump your child in a swamp?

The jail house videos about teh nanny?

The police interviews about the nanny?

How did they overlook all that?

I don't get it.

At the least, it was some sort of child abuse, no?

Any money that KC makes off of the murder of Caylee should go directly to Zenida in the civil suit.  And we should all make sure that that amount is the absolute minimum by not supporting an books, movies, tv shows, magazine articles, newspaper articles, club openings, etc.

IF Time Mag is thinking of putting Jose on the cover they will hear from me.  I will boycott them for the rest of my life.

There will be people who will watch and read etc on this for some reason. I hope she is billed for what it cost to put on this farce of a trial. Her back taxes she owes and what she will owe Zenida. If I were her I would be scared to be released

This is what I hope for:

1. She will never get a book deal

2. She will never get a movie deal

Hollywood needs to make this an example of if you murder your child don't think we are going to glorify your life and you are going to make millions from what you did.  They need to ignore Casey and her family.  Do not pay them for anything.

This case has paved the way for future murderers.

If this case was tried 20 years ago Casey would be convicted of murder.

one of the many sad things in this case is she will go on national television and continue her attack on her father and the trumped up molestation charges against him she will be free of them, how would it look if she went home, it would prove just what a liar she is so bozo has it all set up for her its all about the money and notoriety for him. the world is left empty and with so many questions about this jury. what were they thinking other than going home they knew if they charged her guilty they would need to stay longer for the sentencing and i cant help but wonder about the juror who had to go on a cruise tomorrow...i hope they all are hit with karma for allowing justice not to be served

Seeking Justice for Caylee

« Reply #56 on: July 06, 2011, 08:22:09 AM »

The alternate juror is on GMA this morning - imagine that - he says he is shocked at the outrage towards the jury.  He also states he thinks KC definitely has issues.  WTH?

I don't wish any harm against the jurors because that's not the answer.  I'm sure after watching the news they now realize what they did.  They have to live with their decision.

I agree with you that Baez has a plan and if Casey does do any interviews he will be right there coaching her.  He too will make money off Casey's profits.
