The check charges and the lying to police charges will run together..

They just discussed that on TV and they heard it like I did the judge said they would NOT run concurrent, which means her sentence on these counts will start AFTER those were served.

Casey Anthony to be freed late July or early August
July 7, 2011, 6:50 a.m
.

ORLANDO, Fla.— A judge sentenced Casey Anthony on Thursday to four years for lying to investigators but says she can go free in late July or early August because she has already served nearly three years in jail and has had good behavior.

If my time schedule is correct I think it will be about August of next year because of the sentence for the fraud convictions. Time served on that can not be counted.

It can and will be counted unfortunately

If they give her 10 days "good time" for every 30 days served, it still looks to me
that she will have 123 days to serve, minus 40 days "good time" on that would be
80 days left, but who knows how they figure.

Yep that is what I got too.

I can't remember how much time she got for the check fraud charges to take that off the time served. Does anyone remember?

She will get 10 days per month for good time gain time

Thanks. I am not understanding the math. She has been jailed since what...Oct. 2008? ALL APX.
Oct. 2008 to July 2011 =  2 yrs. and 9 months (33 months/apx. 992 days) + apx. 330 days for 10 days per month good time  gain = 1322

365 days/year = 1460 days
                      -1322 days
= 138 days to remain in jail  = apx 4.6 months

why are they saying she could be out in late July or August?

I was trying to figure out why this makes me so upset besides that justice was not served.  The jury was lazy and didn't consider the facts and I think they discussed the case before they were allowed to do so.
But I think what really gets under my skin is the arrogance and unprofessionalness of the defense.

How will we know if JP follows through on his words of bringing complaints against Bozo for the discovery violations during the trial?  Can you search bar complaints?

Orange County deputies sit outside the Anthony home in Orlando during the Casey Anthony sentencing hearing.

That pic just pisses me off!  Although I do not live in Florida - our second house (daughters and grandson live there) was robbed over Memorial weekend.  This guy took everything- even luggage and underwear!! - daughter walked in on it (thank God she was not hurt) and got license plate - police were just seconds from catching him still at the house.  We are still waiting for a detective to put out a warrant for his arrest.  Daughter has been staying with us because she is too scared to go home - and yet the Anthony's and KC get all this protection?????

That seems like an awful amount of good time, almost 50% off?

It sure does.  Yet that's what mostly happens.  When someone is given a sentence, they usually figure 1/2 that length of time, because of time off for good behavior.  Is why most folks when they hear something like 'he got 10 years', will say 'oh ok, he'll be out in 5'.

The fact is, they may as well have let her walk right out today.  It doesn't change the fact that she got away with murdering her child, stealing, and lying about all of it.

And what does this send to all the future ppl that will break the law???
You can get away with it.....
It tells me if I want to murder someone go to Pinellas county and make sure the body is just a skeleton and you will get away with it.

No, JP already said these would NOT be concurrent to that conviction.

No he did not..He said she will be out by end of July early August of this year

Actually, I assumed this year but he didn't say this year.

4 years but she's served 900+ days already. Judge considers time served plus gain time for good behavior. The time already served plus 10 days off for each month served will allow her to enter the public by the end of the summer. I'm thinking last week of July to second week of August.

You are not taking into consideration her check fraud charges which these sentences are added TO. I think the judge said the they would have to figure out the time she had to serve on those check charges and then add this time to those. That is why he said he had to get with bozo for them to figure it all out and get the good time from the sheriff's dept.

I am wondering if he didn't mean that he would hear the state's charges on Casey for attribution in late July or Aug cause he gave mason and Linda a date of July 26 or the 29th to be back in court.

Pises me off too! All of the Anthonys have spit in the face of LE and now LE has to protect them using more taxpayer's money, it's disgusting.....I'm sorry about your daughter, I hope there comes a time when she can feel safe in her own home again.

I'm confused. JBP said consecutive. He also said off the top of his head maybe end of July or August.
