Great sign in front of courthouse~" Somewhere a village is missing 12 idiots". (HLN).

Definitely!

Time will reveal that these twelve jurors were self-serving ... not idiots.  In otherwords ... the prosecution's case was never a consideration and ... justice was never a consideration.

Runaway Jury Law & Legal Definition

A runaway jury is composed of jurors that, for the most part, make their own decisions. The jurors make use of their right to act independently, and do not pay attention to the instructions of the court and prosecutor.

http://definitions.uslegal.com/r/runaway-jury/

ITA Janet..this was a runaway jury if there ever was one.

IDK why JP, once he saw their ruling, didn't take them back in the jury room and talk to them about how they came to those decisions and did they take his instructions on reasonable doubt vs some doubt, reserving sentencing for sentencing phase, etc into consideration.  He would have been well within the law to have questioned them at that point before reading their judgement in open court.

I still say these jurors were gotten to by the defense..and all they see is $$$signs now.  Juror number 3 has to be just dumb..she traded the life of a little girl for the whole family to go to Disney World provided by ABC.  Once again ABC rears it;s ugly head..

Does anyone think KC will be released today/tonight or maybe already has - and they are just stalling the media for her protection?

KCJackie, you read my mind!!     Am thinking that when they do release Casey, no one will know until much later.

Why would Lee have a new attorney????

I heard that - wonder what is going on?  I have a feeling they are getting ready to charge Cindy and maybe George.

I was sure hoping they would have slapped the handcuffs on Cindy as she left the courtroom today.

It would sure cut down on costs of having to protect the Anthonys, if they'd just arrest all of them now.  heh.

If Lee wants to make people not hate him anymore, he should sue KC in a civil suit for wrongful death of Caylee. Probably not gonna happen, but would be nice.
Who knows might be why he has a new lawyer

Was it the defense who had Inmate Adams (jail pen pal) brought back to Orange County?

If so, I hope they don't forget to include all those costs when calculating expenses to recoup...plus, any other costs they incurred with experts not called by consulted, etc.

I have a question...

Didn't Casey say that she stole the checks / money bc she was looking for her daughter, etc etc? We all knew then it was a lie anyway, but did she say this in court also? If so, isn't that Perjury?

What is Bill S saying about the sentence?

He's off line atm.
Maybe we just have to wait for a few hours to get the full impact of what kc is actually getting for jail time...

Why would he have one at all at this time...???

Lees life / reputation has been ruined, his sister lied, he should be able to sue her. Hes lost his job and carrys the molester stigma . just like zfg, he should sue his family.

Feeling sooo much hatred at tge moment.

Heaven help us all.

Jury, I hope you all realize what a disservice you've all provided by the injustice you've allowed for Caylee Marie Anthony.

So I cannot sleep.  Surprise surprise.  Crying with my eyes shut as I was trying to sleep.  Anywho.  Hope the jurors watched cour today to see what they freed.

On a replay, judge said the jail will have to figure time credited for good time and gain time... what is gain time or did I hear the wrong word?

Gain time could come from a job that she did while she was in jail like mopping floors, taking out trash, something like that. I may be wrong though.

I am ashamed to say this but....if ANY Anthony sues KC I will think it is to keep her money from being taken by any other civil suit.

I do not know how, but they will reunite as a disfunctional family.  MOO

Jeff Ashton said last night he was MOST "surprised" (pissed) by Lee's testimony of all of them. He was 180% different than his deposition and attitude.

I'd like to know what he had 'use immunity' on and what he called the defense team about during the trial.

She will get 10 days per month for good time gain time

Thanks. I am not understanding the math. She has been jailed since what...Oct. 2008? ALL APX.
Oct. 2008 to July 2011 =  2 yrs. and 9 months (33 months/apx. 992 days) + apx. 330 days for 10 days per month good time  gain = 1322

365 days/year = 1460 days
                      -1322 days
= 138 days to remain in jail  = apx 4.6 months

why are they saying she could be out in late July or August?

That is exactly how I figured it, Nut.  Bill Sheaffer said that she has served 997days.
That would leave 133 and figure she would get 40 days off of that for gain time.
I think she has got to do 3 months and I want her to serve every day of it.

I think the late july or early august was on the state's filing yesterday they will appear in court to give JP their cost in return at that point Mason will then argue for the killer. And then JP will set a court date for those hearings, in mean time she will have to give a recorded statement to Zenida's lawyer. And go to court in Oct.
i thought no matter on good behavior or not you still had to spend 85% of sentencing they didnt give my brother but 1 day for good behavior in a month's time

Not sure if it's different in different states.  Cuz when two of my sons went into 'stupid mode' and landed themselves in the state prison here in Nebraska, they each got 1 day off their sentences for every 1 day of good behavior.  Ended up doing 18 months each on a 36 month sentence.
