On Thursday, Judge Belvin Perry sentenced Casey to four years in prison for lying to investigators, with a $1,000 fine for each of four false statements she made to law enforcement.

However, because she has already served nearly three years behind bars, and has had good behavior at the Orange County Jail, a court administrator said Casey could go free as early as Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

That's just six days from her sentencing.

Thanks Jury ... FOOLS, complete fools.  Juror #3, want to ammend your dumbass staement that not guilty does not mean innocent? It most certainly does and you allowed the person who killed Caylee to walk away a free woman.

I do not only blame the jury..I also blame JP..it was his courtroom..his demeanor of letting the defense run roughshod over this court of day one..calling out the prosecution in court..bending over backwards to the defense..and let's not forget protecting his spotless appeal and retrial record...all added to the mix.

He could have taken the jury back in to the jury room before the verdict was read in court and asked them what happened..and he would have found they did not follow his instructions for reasonable doubt, they did not follow his instructions for not considering sentencing while in the verdict phase, he would have found out they had been talking all along if the alternates knew wht they were thinking and were not even in the same room as the jury during deliberations.

When I just read the release date, my entire body froze, my heart thumped and I could not breathe for a second.  My throat is dry as could be and why is it I feel this way but her supposedly loving family does not? 

I feel like my child died.  How can this be happening?  Why do I feel guilty like somehow this was my fault and I did not protect Caylee?  Why can Cindy walk around all proud as a peacock when her granddaughter is dead and her killer will be getting out of jail next week?

Thanks. I am not understanding the math. She has been jailed since what...Oct. 2008? ALL APX.
Oct. 2008 to July 2011 =  2 yrs. and 9 months (33 months/apx. 992 days) + apx. 330 days for 10 days per month good time  gain = 1322

365 days/year = 1460 days
                      -1322 days
                      = 138 days to remain in jail  = apx 4.6 months

why are they saying she could be out in late July or August?

I know I was just doing the math to and got the same thing. I think orange county can give her extra days for good behavior the county jails can give whatever they want I think..

I'm a little behind and this thread is moving fast, so I apologize in advance if someone's come up with a "fitting" calculation for KC's sentence...

4yr sentence (365 x 4 = 1460 days)      1460 days
33mos x 30days served =990 days)      -990 days
                                                        = 570 days served to date
33mos x 5 days/mo for good behavior     164 days
                                                        = 405 days
1 year time served-365 days                  365 days
                                                             40 days remaining of sentence!!!!

Ugh, I figured it out and had a hard time explaining it, don't mean to confuse anyone. I think I need more coffee, or something stronger

Are you talking about the check charges? If so, she did a plea deal last January for 13 checks. She was given time served on that by Judge Strickland which was 412 days and one yr probation. She is a felon.

OK, let me get this straight, we all work hard, most of us are single mothers who raised our children on our own, working sometimes 2 jobs, overtime just so we can pay the bills, our taxes , we obey the law, respect our elders. Now comes this slore Casey..kills her baby, lies to the police, has no respect for anything or anyone other then herself, ruins several people's lives, stole from her friends and family and bought things for herself with their money, gets out of her murder conviction, will live her bella vita, will probably become a millionaire. Life is not fair, please tell me that karma exists, my heart is so broken. Good is suppose to win over evil?!

The last chapter of the Casey Anthony story has yet to be revealed.

Six years following the disappearance of Natalee Holloway ... the main suspect in her disappearance ... the main suspect who was not held accountable by the Aruban Justice System ... sits in a Peruvian facing a 35 year sentence.

I am amazed that the people who love or care for Joran do not yet see that he needs the help that can only be provided by him going to the authorities and telling the entire truth. Being rejected by society, labled as a criminal, all are taking a horrible toll on Joran that is going to fuel his addictions and push him further and further into a self destructive lifestyle. I would think his mother would recognize Joran's needs, and see the benefit he would gain even from incarceration. Isn't an investment of five or so years worth a return of the rest of Joran's life? .... 

It is very telling that Beth's life is getting brighter every day, considering her loss, yet Joran the boy who "got away with it" is descending deeper and deeper into a self convicted sentence of life without parole unless he confesses. He will never, never be able to move on from this without repentance. Corny, yes, self serving, yes I want him to tell the truth, but is it the absolute truth, the absolute gospel, yes. Surprise, no, it is as the Bible teaches.

Like others,  I suspect she will work for either Bobo or Mumbles law firm when she gets out.  She has had lots of practice for the last 3 years. 

That sounds about right except .... she wouldn't even be able to go to the bathroom, let alone Target, without a bodyguard if she stays in that area.  Can she leave the area?  Because I think they'll try to hide her far away, at least while they drive the money train as far as they can, only trot her out when necessary.
