This vehicle has five spoke wheels, and two-piece mirror supports. Is this supposed to be the same car used in the reinactment, one year later?

What is the source of this photo, impounded or reinactment?

I found this photo labeled as "impounded" in an earlier post. This isn't Deepak's vehicle, different rims and mirrors. Klaas, do you have an idea where this photo came from. Could this be someone else's vehicle?

those cars dont even have the same license plate.  Tis does not necessarily mean that Deepak, Satish, et al are trying to pull one over on us with the car, it could just be the friggen media trying to pull one over on us.  They do it with picturs and video every day.  I wouldnt trust any pictures from the media.

You are very correct regarding this blah. Here is another example of such. The media is reporting o a white Jeep Suzuki, and then reports that this type vehicle was confiscated from the Sloots. As far as I remember.....Sloots didn't own a white Jeep. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Defense attorneys for the Kalpoe brothers confirmed to CNN that fishermen - - Aruban fishermen have told investigators that they did not see a couple matching the description of Natalee Holloway and Joran Van Der Sloot on the beach the night that Natalee was reported missing.

What they did see, however, was a white Suzuki on the beach. If you remember, a white Suzuki was one of the vehicles confiscated during a search of the Van Der Sloot home. This new information might have been responsible in part for the judge`s decision to keep Van Der Sloot in jail for another 60 days for questioning in this case. We don`t know if it had any bearing on his decision to release the Kalpoe brothers.

Changing out a license plate is no big deal.  Crooks of lesser intent do it all the time.  This would be a no-brainer for a liar like Joran.  He tbinks in his warped brain that he has committed the perfect murder.  No, it's not a perfect murder; its' just that the ones who should have been investigating and prosecuting were paid off by Posner & Paulus, to keep Posner from violating any laws, because that could certainly call for him to be returned to the big house where all his girlfriends have probably aged and now there are bigger bubba's there.

I agree Tyler.  This case was quite simple to figure out but it was the powers that be that made it difficult.

Yes they did.  It is no big deal to swap out cars.  My nephew said if he had to do it he could do it in two days with a buddy helping him.

bleachedblack ... I am look for the quote.  However ... IIRC the reason given was that Deepak's vehicle had to be used as there was not another vehicle on the Island like it.  Apparently ... it had modification such as ... large mufflers, etc.

They often try to pass off pictures of something they think "is close enough" or will even doctor pictures for a story.  Hell they cant even get the story right most of the time let alone the pictures.
