Local news around here has been slow, so this morning the newscast was showing a police training that took place yesterday. It was a demonstration of how quickly a stolen vehicle can be taken disassembled to be sold as parts. According to them - it took only six minutes. Think what a good job someone could have done replacing the interior of Deepak's car in a short amount of time.

Tyler,
I read today almost 90,000 acres have burned in Florida recently.

The smoke alone and think of the wildlife.   Sad

It hasn't been all that great for people either.

No matter how many allergy pills we take  Sad

This morning is the first time in a week that the smell of smoke didn't overwhelm me as I walked out my front door. Maybe I'm getting used to it. At least the falling ashes have ceased.

I hope Sleuth and Terryd are ok -- the impact to their area is a bit worse than Miami (or it was as I went north on the turnpike earlier this week)

And the lovely Andrea (the tropical depression that wasn't) did not provide any rain -- just the right wind conditions to take the smoke from South Georgia and spread it over Florida -- as well as our own fires.

Very dry here in most of the state. The lake is down several feet. Water restrictions in effect and enforced.

If anyone is planning to visit our state -- please don't throw cigarette butts out of your car window.

Here is a slightly clearer screen shot from a CBS video dated June 9th, 2005.  It must have been done right before Deepak's car was towed:

{Edited}

I'm really wondering if we should be concentrating more of this car though:

Klaas, I agree that we should be concentrating on the Sloot car.  I don't want to get graphic but I would like to know where the blood was found in their car.  Was it in the back seat or in the trunk.  If it was in the trunk I think Natalee was dead and if it was in the back seat she could have possibly been alive and severely injured.  JMO.

And to complicate things in my mind even more  Very Happy -- whenever I see this particular pic of daddy dearest, it highly resembles the blurry picture we have of the man driving the psychedelic van  (L, we're told)  Shocked

I hate to butt in, but I have one question.  Then I'm turning out the light.  I may look for a reply tomorrow.

If the Van Der Sloots got a copy of all of the FBI reports, did the Holloway/Twittys ever get a copy of all of the FBI reports?  If not, why not?
(Sorry, 2 questions.)

good night
tidycat

Thank you for asking that.  I had that question in my head yesterday for a split second and then I lost it..............

But I think it is an important question.

Does JQK have the same pile of paper that TacoJoe has?

Good morning.

Morning San... reading before work but my memory is that blood was found on the roof panel (inside) of the car.

Have a great day!

Hi Beans!  I believe you are right.   Blood on the headliner.  We later discussed how easy it would be to pull a headliner and replace it.

Morning Monkeys, I also remember  it being said that pieces were taken from the  seat in the back of the car for sampling.

OT about the little girl missing in Portugal. Poor parents .........search called off

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

MADDY IS STILL MISSING BUT POLICE CALL OFF THE SEARCH

THE parents of missing Madeleine McCann faced fresh agony last night when police announced they were scaling down the search.

Police and volunteers have been hard at work scouring the 150-square-mile area around the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz where Maddy was snatched from the family’s holiday apartment eight days ago.

But the officer in charge of the investigation has decided to call off the local hunt because nothing has been found.
The shock decision prompted increased criticism of their bungled inquiry into the abduction of the three-year-old Briton and the way the hunt for the toddler has been conducted.

Police spokesman Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa, said: searches of the local area “initiated as soon as the disappearance was reported” were “coming to an end”. He added: “All the places have been checked. The results are zero.”

But he added that police were “still looking” for Maddy. “We are pursuing lines of investigation. It was a decision of the officer in charge of the case. So I think they have changed something.”

Good morning everyone.

The pic above shows Paulus in the car...there is a blue soccer like shirt in there too..

is it possible that is the shirt that was found that had the name of Joran's favorite soccer player on it?

I remember it was an odd name, and sounded Dutch.

They are different. I tried to screen capture them but the darker one kept coming out as a black mess.

One is silver the other is black.

TJ called last nite after I sent him an email, and he said he would type something up.

In the call he said 'Natalee is not on the island, and he knows it and so do the people that gave him the info'.

Like I said, he indicated he would type something up, but also indicated he has been busy as all heck and it might not happen anytime soon.

He also said that the former FBI agent seemingly captured off the coast of Iran on Kish Island has been freed. This is the agent that TJ was working with on Natalee's case.

I also asked if they would find anything in the garden, and he did not think so, as Natalee according to him was not buried in the garden, but removed and taken off the island right away.

If he sends the 'typed info' I will post it.

Looking forward to that reading.  Did you notice the FP post that Justicefor Natalee quoted yesterday.  From the pilot site Val (supposedly) went to that night??  It shows currents, etc.  It's not just a gaming site.

Repost from JusticeforNatalee

Thu May 10, 2007 11:03 am    Post subject:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interesting FP comment about X-Plane:

"...Another site ‘someone’ went to that night –and seemingly stayed on for about a half an hour- was x-plane.com. This is interesting to me because x-plane is a flight simulator thing which more importantly offers accurate maps of just about anywhere on earth…even oceans where coordinates are given. Wind currents and such are given too, just as if you were really planning a flight, so checking currents to see where the proper place might be to drop a body in the ocean so it would not wash back to shore would be something a person might use this site for.
Joran mentioned in his book that he wanted to be a pilot when he was young. So it makes sense that he would have interest and knowledge of flight planning etc. As my own son is a pilot, I have some familiarity with flight planning and one thing I want to point out is that the date is important…wind currents change by day and projected weather conditions need to be considered so if Joran – or someone- were using x-plane to check on wind currents to find a suitable place to dump a body in the ocean without fear of it returning to shore, it would not necessarily have to be the day Natalee went missing or days shortly after. It could have been any time things worked out to when the currents were right in a particular area.
That said, I don’t think Joran is focused enough to keep all the cards in play enough to actually figure out and execute a safe ocean dropping. However, a more experienced pilot might certainly be more confident. So I’d ask, whom did Joran or PVDS know that had a plane/helicopter/or could have rented one for an outing in the days/weeks/or even months after Natalee went missing?
While I not sure if the x-plane site bothers with daily changes or just uses standards, getting a general idea of currents would be a good place to begin, thereafter a real pilot might check for a good day to make a drop.

And what a strange expression on the fce of a person just questioned by police, son in "jail" and runing from the media!

Morning Monkeys.
