The talk of extradition scares the crap out of them.  Let's talk extradition!  Once this is closed, maybe we can in fact ask for it.  Or juts take them in the night from anywhere in the world and fly them to undisclosed locations for intensive interrogations.  Heh, heh!

Contrary to what we have been told by those with an agenda, in his new book, George Tenet says that techniques like water boarding work like a charm and have saved untold lives.  That's what I thought.  And what most people who understand human nature would also think.

I bet it would even take that smirk off Joran's face at long and weary last.

If Spong is telling Guido's parents that it is possible causing them to fly into paranoid, demented rants about the U.S. being Nazis, their favorite word, then he must know it can be done.  The Dutch have not honored the treaties they have signed but would they balk again to protect this psychopath?  He is not very well regarded in Netherlands from the comments posted about him.

I wonder if only officials can ask Interpol to intervene or if we as private citizens can bombard them with requests?

I'm still holding out that the Dutch are going to do the right thing. I'll admit I'm losing hope fast but I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I'm the most pessimistic guy there is but I'm holding on to the hope that the Dutch don't want to leave giving the Rubes credit for a successful coverup. I think the Dutch hold themselves to a higher standard and closing the case simply says that the ALE one-upped-them.
I also don't think these new investigators view the VDSs as 'breatheren'. I think they'd nail the Sloots in a heartbeat.  I think they are slowly building their case and for those of us, even the haters, that know these pricks are guilty, just need to give them some time to present their case.

So hoping you are right Indy!

Wreck,
That whole island qualifies as an enemy of the State as far as I can see, Joran admits they are sitting around plotting against our young women who tourist there.

If that's not a plot, what is!  And also sounds like civil rights violation in that it is targeted agains the whole group of them, not just an indidvidual.

Keep talking, Joran!

Freddy's PV is in Joran's book, don't have a translation yet but this is what I am told it contains:

Freddy gave his statement on June 12. He told polis that Joran told him the HI lie on May 30. Then at the Raquet Club on May 31, Joran told him that the HI story was a lie, the truth was J2K all went to the beach with Natalee, where Natalee fell down numerous times as they walked on the beach, and at some point Natalee passsed out. When they couldn't wake her up, the three of them took off together, leaving Natalee alone on the beach.

After telling this to polis, Freddy then told it to Joran's parents, who confronted Joran with it, and Joran agreed Freddy was telling the truth (I'm not sure if that means about every detail, or just about them having taken Natalee to the beach).

Joran also says in his book he did not tell Freddy the HI lie on May 30, he did not know Natalee was missing until the morning of May 31. And he denies telling Freddy about Natalee repeatedly falling down and not being able to wake her up, or about the three leaving her alone on the beach.

Joran is making excuses for the marks they will find on Natalee due to Joran beating her.

I can't even imagine what this monster did to her and why he wouldn't stop hitting her.  And those two wusses the Kalpoes did absolutely nothing.

I don't understand why the Kalpoes are so afraid the JVDS.  Never got that, I always thought they held the trump card.

The Dutch want to sign treaties with us about extradition because they know we will keep our word.  Then they refuse to keep theirs because they don't respect our system with a death penalty!

They still have someone connected to 9/11 they refuse to extradite to us because of the chance of his facing the death penalty!

After they lied and signed a treaty to do so!  They want to count on us but not return the cooperation.  So they have already burned us once to hold on to that creep.  Would they do it again in the instance of these?  I don't think so.  I think they might just hand them right over especially if Joran has annoyed enough people by then and embarrassed them internationally badly enough.

They want to save that refusal to honor their word for the biggies, not these common garden variety street thugs.

And from the way he is being treated, I would say Paulus has badly over-played his hand.  Most especially if this corruption investigation ousts his buds currently in office.

I believe it's at about 40% containment right now and only one or 2 residences were lost.  The firemen did a great job keeping the properties and Avalon safe.  The weather has been cooperating so I expect it will be 100% contained in a couple days.

The search for a cause

One single-family home was destroyed along with six industrial and commercial buildings, said Steven Hofs, the Avalon fire chief.

He said there is still no known cause for the fire. Some contractors were working on an antenna near where the blaze started, and investigators said they were looking into whether they might have accidentally -- and perhaps unknowingly -- sparked it.

35% contained

The fire has burned 4,200 acres burned. It is now 35% contained, and officials expect full containment by Tuesday. Mayor Robert Kennedy praised the efforts of the Navy, the L.A. County Fire Department and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.  "Without that response we wouldn't be standing in front of you today," he said.

Seven hundred people from various agencies are fighting the fire.

County Supervisor Don Knabe praised the assistance. "The good Lord willing, the weather holds, and the wind stays down, we're in pretty good shape," said Knabe.
